The next dealer, 45 minutes away lied to me about having a car in stock, made me drive all the way out there only to find out it was sold 3 hours ago even though the sales manager told me 45 minutes prior on the phone that he still had the car on the lot. Then he tried to sell me a different car after lying to me. And finally I at the third dealer I ordered the car and yes I put down a deposit, and now it sounds like I was lied to again. I'm sure having a great experience with these Subaru dealers.
I am purchasing my base model, from the local Subaru Dealer here in Mooresville, called Randy Marion Subaru. They have been nothing but helpful getting everything done and getting me in the car I've wanted. Every rep in there knows me when I pull in and all probably say to themselves, "Oh, its that guy, AGAIN". I'm in there all the time, sometimes to ask questions, look at the BRZs that have come in or just to talk sometimes. If you are in the area you should drop in and say hi, especially if you are looking for a new Subaru. I've never had the feeling of "they are selling me a car", if that makes sense.

That's probably your answer then. Shows what I know. Enough with my doom and gloom conspiracy theories. I need to stop posting my drivel here, and just sit back and read while I wait.

Congrats on the order man.

I really like it, but I also really like the stock wheel. Any other planned mods?

- JPM Coachworks working on getting me a shifter boot surround and JDM radio bezel in suede so I can get rid of that silver color.
- Got my Kenwood DNX9960 from my old car going into this one, (thus the JDM bezel) so waiting on wiring harness and Axxess ASWC.
- Recaro Pole Position bucket shells in leather and suede to match the interior with Recaro sliders and aluminum brackets waiting in my garage too. Mounting them on those Planted floor mounts (I hope they fit well... Corbeau floor mounts sucked so bad with fitment). Gotta pick up some resistors too... I've had these seats in my M3 and just loved it when I autocrossed... or even for just a night out on the town. Very comfortable for a non-adjustable shell.
- Also got some Prodrive GT1 wheels in gunmetal sitting in the garage too. I didn't expect the STi to come in so early, so I didn't order the winter tires yet.
- Cobb double adjustable short shifter that I picked up last month. Along with Kartboy shifter bushings (including rear one).
- Prosport 53mm oil temp, oil pressure and boost gauge... but I'm not sure how I'll install it. Thinking of that SMY cluster... but then I'll have 1 gauge left. I probably won't even think about this until I do my first oil change. I just want something that gives a clean look and not pods galore.
- Cusco oil catch can... Considering the 2x OCCs that some people on the forum have done.
- Rally Armor mudflaps with gray logo. Gotta stop those rock chips!
- SPT front strut bar (haven't bought this yet)
- Quickie aesthetics... R205 black STi side badges and rear taillight tint in red.

I think that's it for the rest of this year. My wife doesn't want me going overboard like I did on the last two cars this time.

Still waiting but I don't care about the wheels upgrade anymore.

May drop the price a week or later if no one interested. But I am sure someone here need them.

And all the best luck to people who are still in "waiting" mode.

How about you? When would you post yours online?

Finally took delivery of my base 2013 WRX ISM 5-door. Options include STi short shift, extended arm rest, bumper cover, cargo tray and all-weather floor mats. I got the car right at invoice and I also picked up the extended warranty and the wheel and tire warranty. Very happy. Definitely good people at Falcone Subaru in Indianapolis.

http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Steering-Wheel

Rallysportdirect has given me some excellent customer service!

Just did the R205 black side badges tonight. DAMN... doing those were like 10x more harder than this steering wheel. Took me about 2 hours to take off all that damn adhesive.

Interesting. If they ordered it, it definitely won't show on their website. I couldn't even see it if I searched for it. Only the dealer that has the sold order can see it. We can reserve a car in the pipeline also; and when that is done, it takes it out of the "locator" system so other dealers can't see it.

Oh and I wish the dark inserts on the headlights were still there, but I plan on adding red overlays to the tail lights.

I have seen people say to take an Accessport to the Dealer and flash before driving. My question is with what map? My car has 1600 miles on it now and i havent used my accessport yet because the only available maps are for 2012 and COBB said not to use them.

Yeah i didn't either. Especially when I didn't like the leather seats as much, even though the roof may have been kinda nice too. Oh well.

Nothing bad happened just maybe once I got to December I have a better alternative. And at the same time I have to obay "Supply and Demand" law of economics.

I would think these cars are at least a month old(maybe 2) by the time they are delivered to the customer. We've had VINs for the cars coming to us for 2 weeks and won't be getting them for at least another week. Subaru assigns the VINs after FHI gives them the manifest of the ships coming over. How long have they been on the ship? I don't know how long it takes those big ships to cross the Pacific, but it ain't fast. How long from manufacture does it take to get them on the ship? I don't think I would worry about the paint curing.

Agreed. Minimum of 30 days since paint for the coasts and even more in the middle of the country. I would have it clear bra'd before I even drove it off the dealer's lot personally.

Does anyone know anything about octane boosters? I live in Colorado and they only offer 91, I would much rather be running 93. Can anyone recommend a good booster, Or is it even a good idea to use a booster?
