haha! Unfortunately Target only had the red, but there are blue ones floating around eBay, that I wish I could've gotten my hands on instead!

Yeah the taillight vinyls only looked so-so to me in pics, but saw a set of them on a 08-10 WRX hatch the other day on the road and they look WAAY better in person. Enough to change my mind and pursue that route. Seriously they were sexy.

hold on there sparky. None of those numbers you just rattle off make sense. I'd like to start off with the fact that 225/40/17 probably don't even exist, not to mention there is a 4.9% difference in diameter. And the same goes for 215/45/17, there is a 2.8% size difference in diameter. Winter tires for 2013 wrx would probably be 215/55/16 or even 205/55/16 if you could handle the 1mph difference at 60mph.

215/55R-16 is what tirerack.com recommends for the WRX.

Just curious if anyone else has recently gotten their cars without the STS installed? I saw some posts back a couple weeks and it made me concerned that mine with an ETA of 10/11 would show up without one. I had a hard enough time dealing with my local dealer in the first place the last thing I need is to have to fight to get a part installed that was supposed to be done at the port.

I'm still trying to sell my car so hopefully someone buys it soon, I don't want to be waiting to pick up my car or I'll be

ordered:
2013 WRX limited DGM 4 door w/o navigation
- SPT exhaust
- Boost gauge
- STS + STI knob
- Wheel locks
Placed - 8/30
VIN - 9/20
ETA - 10/11

I ordered the STS and those posts have me worried as well. My ETA is Monday, so I will definitely provide an update.

I notice a lot of people are getting the OEM wheel locks. Any reason not to buy (better?) aftermarket ones ie McGuards? I remember with my old Acura, each set of oe wheel locks had a distinct pattern. Are Subaru's the same thing or a generic lock?

A couple years ago I had one wheel, thats right, ONE, stolen from my beater '92 Honda Accord. I came out of my apartment and saw my car up on cinder blocks and just the wheel missing.

Considering STi limited BBS wheels are OEM at like $3600, an investment of like $40 for wheel locks doesn't seem like that big of a deal. At least to deter opportunistic thieves...

Oh yes, I absolutely will have wheel locks on my car. Just wondering why people are opting for the OEM locks rather than, say these (which I have been using for a while.)

I went with the stock ones because for 40 dollars it was just plain easier. I've never owned wheel locks before since I didn't have wheels worth stealing, convenience in this case trumped benefit. If an aftermarket product is significantly better (GPS, stereo, security, etc) then I'll gladly buy it and either learn or have someone else do the work. But I can't honestly see much difference between a stock one and aftermarket, it's a deterrant and not serious protection.

I think you have to see the PBP in person. Pics don't do it justice at all. That said, get the SWP because I'm getting PBP and the more rare it is the better.

Don't know about orders, but the black STI hatch I drove last week had Nav on it. I've heard lots of complaints about the Subie nav, and not sure if this year's is different or what but it was pretty slick. Definitely better than what I had on my FX45, and that was just fine.

My local dealer said I could expect about 10 weeks from order to deliver for Nav btw. And extra 2 weeks over non Nav. Haven't pulled the trigger yet though...

That said, and may I repeat my'seff:

Sexy.

Yeah, actually a guy on iwsti just received his DGM STi sedan with nav today, so hopefully it won't be much longer for those of us who ordered nav at the beginning of August.

The GF calls her sti as a male. Stewie.

My s2000 and all previous cars I have reffered to as female.

Seems to be the trend.

Did anyone who ordered in the first week of September get an update yet? I think my order went in on the 5th...well I was at the dealer late on 8/30, but because of the long holiday weekend my order wouldn't go in until Tuesday the 4th. When I called on the 5th, I think they had forgotten to actually place the order and did so immediately. Anyway, I called on Monday and I'm still at an ETA of December, no VIN.

It's my understanding that that is non-negotiable. That's what I've been told anyway....

On another note, my dealer has been giving me a progressively shadier feeling, hope I'm wrong...

D&D = non-negotiable. That's my understanding, too. $770 for a Subaru.

And the shady thing: mine, too. Assumed that I didn't know invoice price on the car, and played his price ($2k higher) like it was invoice. I'd slip a salesperson a nice chunk of change on the side if I could get one—just one—to not bullsh|t me during the buying process.

It amazes me that these types even still exist in the New Car Sales world.

Do they think you guys don't know how to use google?
