Just kidding. Seriously though that is not something that is negotiable at all. It is not a fee from the dealer, and there is ZERO profit to us on that charge. It is a charge from Subaru for transportation costs. It is an average for the whole continental USA.

Dude, mine is telling me that the lowest rate we're approved for is upwards of 16%. Weird thing is my fiancee (who's name this'll be in) has a credit score of >720, and our credit union has no issue with giving us an excellent rate.

That aside, (maybe this is just me) has changed his word usage from "your car" to "the car" and using words as if this puppy isnt going to be mine one way or another.

Ill also note that their initial quote for the vehicle was around 26.9k but they agreed to match another dealer's quote of 24.9, which im sure they arent too stoked about....

Tell them you will jsut bring them a check from the credit union if they cannot match the rate from them. They cannot force you to use their financing, nor should they be able to not sell you the car if you want to use your own bank/C.U.

And the same goes for 215/45/17, there is a 2.8% size difference in diameter. Winter tires for 2013 wrx would probably be 215/55/16 or even 205/55/16 if you could handle the 1mph difference at 60mph.
My bad for the random 225/40/17 oh and I did not keep in mind he was a WRX. But for Sti winter setup I would go 215/45/17 Blizzak WS70 all because I already have the GD7 BBS rims and I don't mind the speedo difference.

Big congrats! I'm about 2 hours west of you down the turnpike, maybe I'll get a call tomorrow, (haha right)!! ETA is the 8th, I'm reaching obsessed status, going out of my way to snoop past my dealer's lot on the way home from work. It's pretty sad. I'm taking Fri and Monday off, would love to have my toy for the long weekend

When I called on the 5th, I think they had forgotten to actually place the order and did so immediately. Anyway, I called on Monday and I'm still at an ETA of December, no VIN.
I'm in the same exact boat as you. Ordered sept 7. Said 6-8 weeks but the ETA is December.

Anyone on east coast who ordered between 8/25-8/30 for a base or non navi wrx get a vin. SOA just gave the usual random "November" while the dealer says I'm in the October allocation which could be either the 12th or 25th although no vin....after 13 weeks getting very impatient...dealer has a 12 wrx premium black with spt exhaust, boost gauge....but for $28,500 + tax don't want to spend that much =(

Thanks man! I originally placed my order on the 23rd of August and got the ETA of November. Last week I get an updated ETA of October 12th. Then today I get a call saying that it just came off the truck. You'll probably get it a lot sooner man, hang in there!

In case anyone was wondering, the Subaru financing "special offer" rate for the 13s is out....2.9% for WRX.

I am new here and just love this thread because many are in the same boat as me, waiting for a new WRX. I ordered mine on 9/10 and the dealer told me this week I should get it before October is up. Hope this is true because some people are waiting much longer. I think I got a good deal and I got a very fair offer on my trade which was important. Here is what I'm getting:

2013 WRX hatch in cbs
Base at 25,383
Dimming mirror w/compass
armrest extension
Sirius sat radio

Best deal I could find in NJ out of the four dealers I contacted
I held off on the sts because I plan on getting the kartboy with bushings to save some $$ after the break in period.

This is what I should have done. Hindsight.

I was hoping for 1.9, but this is still doable. My Mazda is financed through Mazda/Chase, so they are familier with us.

Good to hear. When I ordered the dealer had no idea what they would be offering at that time. 1.9 would be nice but 2.9 is fine with me as well.

A week ago I was given an eta of 10/11....

Got a message today....

It has arrived!! However, I'm not sure if I can pick it up tomorrow. Here's my situation:
  • Recently moved to VA from MD, and still have MD drivers license
  • Car is being purchased from PA
  • Not getting a loan through the dealer

Does anyone know if having a driver license from a different state other than where i live will prohibit me from getting the vehicle? I only ask because I know the tags and title are to be processed from the dealer and wasn't sure if the license would be an issue.

I think you could find one on a lot before January. Fogs and sts are easy and cheaper to on a weekend yourself.

I would have to believe as long as your ID is valid and not expired, it may be used. If you won't have a VA drivers license ready, do you have anything else... lease agreement, utility statements etc, that establishes proof of your new VA residence? Best bet obviously is to call your dealer tomorrow and see what they can work out for you. They'll do what it takes to make the deal go through I'm fairly sure. May I ask what dealer you purchased through (PM response is fine)?

Two things seem to be working in your favor. The pattern seems to be that Subaru quotes an extra buffer month in their first ETA, and also orders seem to be coming in at around 8 weeks (more if you ordered Nav). Both of these translate to early December for you, if I were a betting man. Very unscientific analysis, of course. My first subie as well

Like someone else said, you don't have to use their credit line. If you're in columbus and buying from Byers subaru they used chase bank for my financing. 16 percent is ridiculous

So after posting about being worried I might not be able to sell my car before my car gets here (eta 10/11).....I sold the car tonight to the second person who has physically looked at my car. Ended up getting a decent price for it (more than the minimum I would have taken but a little less than what I was shooting for). I'm so stoked!

Now I just have to figure out how I'm getting to and from work and going to live without a car for the next week or so...it would be convenient if my car showed up tomorrow so it could be ready to go by saturday when we are finalizing the deal for my car...

I do still have my MD id and statements for proof of residency. I just wasn't sure if the drivers license was needed for tags and title purposes or not, but yea, I'll give the dealer a call tomorrow. The dealer btw, is Fred Beans Subaru. Near the end of Aug i had placed a deposit on a WRX that was already in transit.
