Default Enkei will be stocking wide 5x100 soon

With the release of the BRZ/FRS it looks like Enkei is going to be making and stocking the RPF1 17x9 5x100 due in November and the Enkei Raijin 18x9.5 5x100 (21lbs) due in late this month. Sorry if this is a repost but just thought I'd share. I checked with my local Discount Tire store and they offered 17x9 RPF1's for $225 and the same price for the Raijin.

Do you know if they will offer 18x9 on the Raijins?
I am worried the 9.5 will rub on an 11' WRX.

Also, can you recommend some middle or the road tires that will get me good wear without breaking the bank.

There are threads for this.

In terms of rubbing, width means nothing without offset.

And why worry about wide wheels if you don't want the best tires you can get. That's like the dude running 285 dws.

while both the 17x9 and the 18x9.5 are being built in response to the BRZ and FRS I know many here will be running them on various Impreza models. In the past the best 17x9 tire fitment was a 245/40-17 and the best tire size for the 18" was 265/35-18. The 17" fitment worked with zero issues with the 18" fitment did require some fender work and or an alignment change. We have not be able to confirm or deny WRX or STi brake clearances yet but, will as soon as we have product or the engineering drawings ...

the RPF1 17x9 ET45 5-100 will be available EXCLUSIVELY through The Tire Rack and our website www.TireRack.com

Any idea if the 9 +45 is going to be the same as the current 5x114 in regards to how the face of the wheel looks/sits? I'm just curious because I know on the STI with brembos that setup needs something like a 15mm spacer up front to clear the calipers.

The bolt pattern means nothing in terms of face design... So... Yes, it will.

21lbs for the 18x9.5? that's a shame...

an 18x9 +45 rpf1 would be a godsend. though if they're only going to do it in 17 i guess i'll be buying the 17's!

17x9 RPF1 makes me tingly. I had a few other 17x9 options but always like the RPF1s...i know where my tax returns are going this year!

+45 on a 17x9? Good lawd. And here I am thinking +35 was sort of a high offset. I think I'm getting really old .
