Sorry for the cross post but I wanted some non TXIC memebers to see. I have a unichip, K&N air filter, pde downpipe, pde uppipe, samco intercooler hoses, and 3 inch cobb catback. I am very happy and impressed. Someone said it may be a stock turbo record, non nos. Ok there it is! Dyno sheet will be up on the 23rd.

From an old post.
![]() The exhaust is the HKS TiCF. The wheels are 18" Limix Linea BE5. My other mods are Perrin up-pipe, Godspeed downpipe, Samco IC and turbo inlet hoses, Suby Sports lightened pullies, Turbo XS HPMBC, AEM CAI and Apex-i S-AFC. The car dynoed at 243.6 AWHP and 233.2 ft-lbs TQ on an AWD Dynojet. I also have all the supporting mods for a bigger turbo waiting to be installed (STI injectors, Supra fuel pump, Greddy FMIC & BOV), but I have yet to decide on a turbo. (now waiting for a VF34) Suspension wise, I have Whiteline strut bars, ALK, Cusco ver. 2 lower arm car and Cusco front & rear swaybars. The car is temporarily lowered with Whiteline springs, but will be going to Cusco Zero 2-R coilovers soon. Interior has Kartboy shortshifter, STI shifter trim and Greddy boost, EGT & oil pressure gauges. On the exterior, I'll be adding a Scoobysport rear wing and STI headlights in the future. Brakes are stock. I need to find a good kit that I can use with the stock wheels, as I use those at the track. These brakes are getting very scary already. |

I have lightened pullies, which he doesn't, and that's it. He has a Unichip which adjusts fuel and timing, and I have a lowly S-AFC, which has 8 fuel adjustment points. ![]() |

13.24@103.03 mph
I'd say that something seems strange with those traps compared to your dyno (not tryin' to trip). I think your originally stated dyno of 243whp falls in line of your E.T of 13.24 and not the 103 trap speed. That 103 is way too high for a 243whp car and especially running 13.25's |

Dyno run was on 93 octane. Track runs were on 100 octane, which does wonders for the stock ECU's timing curve, and results in some extra horses.
I always say to disregard my ETs, because my driving sucks. I go to the track because it's fun as hell, and because the MPH lets me know if my mods are making a difference. I'm sure that a good driver can get 12s out of my car. ![]() |

You have to admit that the dyno 243whp is reading about 30-40hp low, no? |

The dyno used was a Dynojet and I have to go with the assumption that it is accurate. I did go on a different Dynojet about 100 miles apart from this one, and the results were consistent, so who knows. I also tried various horsepower calculators that use the car's + driver's weight, and ET and/or MPH and end with results of ~260hp (+ or - 5), which is consistent with what I've seen on the dyno if you take into account the extra 7 points of octane rating.
Now to my driving; I actually pull very low 1.8s 60' consistently. I think that my main problem is my shifting technique. ![]() |

Hi WR-REX:
I was just wondering whether you felt the samco intercooler hoses helped, performance wise? Thanks, AstroDavid |

Hi, new boy here from the UK.
With a standard STi V - which would give ATF bhp of around 276-280 and (on UK dynos) about 190-205 PAW I ran in mid-13s with terminals of between 103-108mph. My car now has around 245 PAW - calculated 350ish ATF. Not sure how you guys are working those figures out - would be interested - you seem to think 103 is high for a low 13s run.... Trout ![]() |
