They were invited.. and did also park separately from the rest of us, so they were respectful and none of them did anything ricey or dangerous.

I dont have any problem with that however it is nice to see at least 80% subaru attendance. Diluting the heard makes it easier for others to sneak in UNinvited.

nm....ill pass, my wife was going to drive her speed6. Didnt know it was a restricted meet. No sense in doing car stuff if she cant participate as well and show off her handy work. I drive a 99rs w/22b body and ej207 swap

Technically there aren't any restrictions.. like anything else its nice to stick to the original intent as best as possible. All subaru oriented regardless of driving one are welcome. Its not like we're running a weekly car show.. Its usually small, we gather.. chill for a hour or so then go get some grub

All of us appreciate solid wrench work... there wont be any animosity or shunning going on We do have owners that have second cars that drive the dd instead of their subie to the meets. Granted there's usually a story of heartbreak and carnage that goes along with it lol.. but regardless we're an easy going bunch.

In all honesty there should be some limitations... friends & family invited, previous owners, current owners who garage and don't daily, but aside from that unless it's just to stop by and take a look at what you're missing I'd prefer it not turn into an all make / model open meet. If that's what you're into hit up Ultraspeed, or what's the new club 757imports / 757-Illest. MAIC = Mid Atlantic IMPREZA Club although it should be MAEJC anything with an EJ

Edit (addition) - All of us love cars obviously, and many of us appreciate what else is out there, I'm no elitest I just don't like showing off my car to people I don't know unless it's at a show.

Re-read my first sentence. Obviously you guys subaru, you are on here and you have what sounds like a sweet ride.

I was referring to the younger crowd that is starting to show up, they only talk to certain people and just follow them around.

We have a good over 30 crowd but please don't refer to us as "older".... that'd be Mitch

^ lmao.. that.. and even though we have some early 20's folks.. the general "attitude" is quite mature. Not "get off my lawn!" mature (usually me) but its level headed and safe.

I do have some grievances with the randomly invited that aren't somehow related to the original intent though. That opens the door for them to invite others and so on/so forth and then next thing ya know we're not able to have the fun we've been enjoying for a good while now.

I'm debating if I want to come to the meet this meet. The hole in my uppipe flex tubing is killing my mpg's and power. I could have fixed it already but I'm waiting on some stuff.

Any suggestions for the meet this weekend, or is it TJ Flats again? I won't be there because I have some wedding planning stuff to do.
