Default 18x8 +40 offset for 02 wrx?

Has anyone ran this size of wheels on their 02-03 wrx's? The Gram-lights 57 pros have this size. Does it fit without rubbing if I use 225/40 size tires?
Thanks.

I would also like to know. +40 is just 3mm shy of the recommended offset by unabomber. Will that 3mm make a whole world of difference?

did you REALLY need to bump a 7 year old thread?

there is SO much information regarding fitments EXACTLY like this already posted in this forum.

"Recommended" size is fine within up to about +/- 1-2mm. 8" +40 is an EASY fitment.
