Default New Tires Help!!!

It's time for me to purchase new tires for my wrx, I am not familiar with tires at all. I have about a 1200$ budget. What are some good tires for roads and hopefully some light snow? Thanks

my two favorites are the Pilot Sport AS+ from Michelin and the Potenza RE970AS Pole Position from Bridgestone.

Another popular choice is the Continental Extreme Contact DWS
