Default PCV Valve

Anyone notice the PCV valve on the phase II EJ25 does not thread all the way into the manifold? It goes 1/4-1/2 way into the manifold and that's it. Mine has several threads exposed

If I remember right, the PCV valve on my phase II EJ25 (Outback) is not on the manifold, it's on the crankcase side. The valve on my EJ22, on the other hand, is on the manifold side. I just replaced that one, so I'm positive of its location. Not 100% positive on the EJ25 PCV location...maybe someone else can chime in?

Oh, and PCV valve or not, it's normal for the manifold side to not thread in "all the way." They're all like that. No worries!

They are a tapered pipe thread. They go on until tight to make an airtight seal. Some fuel friendly thread lubricant is ideal to use

Phase II ej25 has pcv on the back side of the case
