Default Stage 2 question

im thinking about getting pro tunned pretty soon and was just wondering if there is any mods that would be highly beneficial before i actually do it? I am currently running Nameless performance TBE and OTS stage 2 map from cobb

wondering if i need any type of boost controller or any other sort of goodies that would yield better power or efficiency?

ebcs is a great option while getting pro tuned. will hold bost better than stock but you must have an appropriate map for it.

personally, i would throw in a better flowing fuel pump if you dont already have one intalled. An ebcs is never a bad idea... but tuners can be meticulous about them. Some only like manual, others love electronic. Talk to your tuner before hand. What about a catless up pipe? Also a header can give you some nice gains, but they can get a little pricey. I went with a fully catless up pipe and DP for my stage 2 tune, and about a month later i bought an EL header and kind of kicked myself in the ass for that one... my tuner doesnt like "retunes for free"/ Ultimately its all about what kind of tune you want. Some people want power up top while others want massive tourqe at lower rpms. Its all up to you!

This is a pretty vague question with your limited amount of current Mods.

To me, being stage 2 is just about as comfortable as 2008+ WRX's like to be before having to upgrade a few things.

Fuel pump. I wouldn't do this unless you were upgrading your injectors or your pump was bad.

Injectors. If you are maxing out your injectors currently then sure.

Intercooler. Your current intercooler is leaking, or perhaps you really want to make numbers with your setup and plan on pushing over 18-19 psi often. But then in which case, you would want to upgrade all your fuel options.

Boost controller. Still haven't seen much reason for one. The stock boost controller is a great fail safe. If your tuner is comfortable with one however and has experience with such, then ok. Otherwise, no need.

So, save your money, leave it where it is, safe and reliable, and save for future Mods down the road. If you haven't looked into any e-tunes, I would. Plenty of options, a lot cheaper then a protune also.
