That was insanely ridiculous haha, so many idiots out there. If anyone saw the white supra do the burn out he got paid 2800 to do it from random people out there. Loved seeing all the fast and furious moments out on the street too, great weekend for sure

That was my least favorite part of the whole weekend. Burning out, weaving in and out of traffic and racing in a 35 mph heavily populated area isn't cool. It is why h20i gets a bad name. It is too much to ask to drive respectably, be respectable to others in general, don't steal and police your area for trash. I very much enjoyed myself this weekend, but at times it was a little much.....

I will still go next year

Don't get me wrong I was the one out there going 30 with my gopro just filming everyone. It just amused me at how stupid people get when around a bunch of people

...This event sounds like it is a little "too much" What was the median age range? What was the stealing stuff about? Why was there not more police enforcement on the 35mph road? I get that people want to have "fun" on a cruise but that should be controlled better.

Nick you have no idea lol. This was the 15th year for this event. It has been going on for half my life The event has gotten way too big for Ocean City. Thousands and I mean thousands of people come to this event. They bring in extra reinforcement for the weekend from other police departments. There is just too many people to control. They o their best and do pull over a lot of people. The Outkast meet on Saturday was so big. People were doing burn outs in the lot. There were cops standing all around the outside......they never kicked us out, but as soon as someone burned out they were right there to hand them their $70 ticket. They were there in cars, on foot, on pedal bike and on horse

All in all I had an amazing time and can't wait until next year. I didn't go to the actual show....just going to the gtg's was fun enough for me

I've been going to OC for meets and shows since I was 16 and by far this was the most import cars/people i've seen at one time. The Outkast meet was NUTS, I couldn't believe it. If H20i was in the summer with the mass of beach goers it would have been too much to handle for sure....it kinda was now. Still had a blast as usual though!

Every single time I saw a cop it was either running radar, pulling someone over, or writing someone a ticket. They did there best to control it and I think they did a pretty great job. Didn't hear anything about theft though. That's new news to me. Median age was probably 23ish

How was the grub? They just opened and have another place up north in Jersey or Phila area. Since they opened I have never seen a crowd, tough location.

We get all kinds of events in town, reinforcement from other agencies is the norm. But unlike the 100,000 bikers or 6,000+ Cruizer Car Show (Next weekend ) it's this VW crowd that acts the fool, hence the overwhelming amount of work for the cops to handle............ most of it was fines for various mechanical/safety issues. (no hoods, too hella, etc)

I agree. Living here year round since this event began it has become more popular, someone said the 3rd largest in the country for that crowd. I don't think any of the events are in town though, they have always been outside of OC. Remember the tool that drove his imported vw around the dirt track, dodged MD State police and led a car chase down Route 50?

My only grive with the VW crowd is how badly they trash the town, litter everywhere, and act very immature. Not all of them, but a higher percentage then other groups that come to town.

Sunday when I was leaving town I saw that lot a little past the convention center and it was absolutely traaaaaaashed. I know exactly how u feel. Myself and the owner of the apartment I rented had a pretty long talk about all the events in the city, and what the different event crowds tend to do in OC. He said he was relieved when I told him I had a subaru.....something always goes wrong when a VW owner rents it out lol

Yea, you're talking about the 45th street lot. Horrible. It's not hard to pick your own trash up.

I already cannot wait until June! An OC vacation twice a year is awesome! lol

I landed smack in the middle of this event completely by accident, as I was in town for the wine festival

Holy **** were the kids misbehaving. We had our days in the late 90s, but this was the largest VW gathering I've ever seen, and probably the most silly driving I've ever seen anyone get away with at the beach. It felt like the OCPD must have all gone home for the winter

Regardless, I was still quite entertained. I did spot some young chick flash a crowd of dudes around 45th street village, and then there was the dude with the euro tag "EAT S**T" without the asterisks

Regardless, the thrashers fries were tasty, and the local wine, even better!
