Default BF Goodrich g force T/A kdw's

Hello,

I absolutely love my re070's, but i can't afford another set, and can't find take off's. I am thinking of getting the g force T/A kdw's

Can anyone that has them compare them with re070's, or give opinions on them.

I can get them for $130 each (includes mounting, balancing and road hazard), This seems like a good deal....

Any opinions would be appreciated

Thanks

I have had them for 3+ weeks and I have had a good time testing them on very twisty rural roads. During cornering at high speeds, there is more squealing than with the potenzas, but they perform well. At interstate speeds, there is significantly more tire noise, but I'd say your looking at a good buy.

Just put a set on and so far so good. They ride good, but are a little noisey. I will post pic in the gallery later tonight.

I have the KDWS's and love them. Been wanting some insight On the kdw's though. I like bfg products. nothing like an under-cover michelin.

Default kdw's more noisy than re070's

wow... if they are more noisy than re070's, i'm not gonna get them. I think the re070's are at my noise threshold.

If anyone has any other suggestions for tires... people have recommended the falken rt615's... but they are a little over my budget.

The only others i have considered are the hankook ventus rs2 Z212... if anyone has feedback on these compared to re070's...

Thanks

yes, at highway speeds, for sure. Even my wife says so, and she doesn't usually notice car noise. Sometimes, the pilot sports (the ones that come stock on the e46 m3 go on sale). They're supposed to be very quiet.

Also, the ones that come stock on the evo mr are supposed to be great, but treadwear is supposedly an issue.

I have really enjoyed the KDW's this spring and summer. I can tell you first hand yes they can be noisy but no where near the sound of worn RE070s. I do believe the Potenza's wear faster too. I'd recommend them.

Both the RT615 and the RS2's have good reviews.

I bought a set of BFG KDW's this past Friday and yeah there is a little humming from about 40-50mph but they handle great, a little squealing under hard corning but they don't loose grip. I got them from Costco installed with the 5 year road hazard for $593.00.

I have the KDW's as well and love them, I agree with the squealing on hard corners. The noise level on the highway isn't loud to me but I do have a lot of Dynamat throughout my STi.

Had three sets of these on my old nissan and Honda . They grip very well in the rain for a summer tire , they are so noisy at the end of the tread wear though. They got so loud that I could barely tell the difference between tire noise and a bad wheel bearing I had. They do look great though, I got a lot of compliments on the tread design

Since it's already been bumped, I might as well chime in. I've been through two sets of them... they are freaking loud when they get some wear. I couldn't have a conversation in my car at 70mph on a freshly paved and smooth as a baby's butt road. I'm not exaggerating. They are ridiculous. I can't hear my cobb tbe exhaust over the tire... at all. If you can deal with the noise, the performance is great.
