Default STX Map with SF intake

Hi, I'm running AutoX in the STX class this weekend and was planning on flashing to the STX 93v300 map in real time for the race.

I have an 04 WRX wagon with a Cobb Turbo Back, and a SF intake with the AirBox...

The map description in the AccessPort manager says:

"COBB Tuning, v3.00 -- STX legal map using 93 octane fuel. MILs have not been disabled. For auto-x use. Requires stock intake and turboback exhaust. 270HP / 270 lb-ft. v300"

However, the maps page says it will work with either Stock or SF -- I just want to make sure I know which one is correct before I do this.

Also, is there any advantage to flashing a couple of days before the race over Live Mapping at the race?

thanks
drats.

what you pasted on here does not say "or".
its says "stock air box"

i would get clarification..also double check the rules for
STX concerning intake system.

beside the factory air draws air from outside engine compartment.
why would you want suck hot air from engine compartment?

Hey Jax,

1) yes - what I pasted in says "Stock Air Box" - that was copy and pasted from the Access Port app... It's the description of the map. The Cobb Site, however, says Stock or SF. "See Attached"

It's inconsistent, which is why I'm asking the form.. I just want to make sure it's safe.

2) I'm new to autocross rules, but if I read the sticky right, it looks like STX allows intakes - as long as the map does not alter stock boost control. This is why I need to run the Stage 2 STX map.
3) I have the SF intake with the Cobb Airbox.. It uses the stock snorkel, and does not get warm air form the engine.

Thanks
drats

The COBB SF Intake for the 2002 - 2007 WRX/STi is designed to run the same mass air flow sensor voltage curve as the stock air box. You should be able to run that intake on the STX mapping without any tuning issues. Unfortunately I do not know if it is legal in the STX class though. You are on your own on that one
