I guess more specifically - Can I run the 93-98 GMS radiator as opposed to the GMS swap radiator? I really want to retain factory fans.

I looked at these but went with the stock dimension Koyo. While I liked the potential cooling benefits of the GMS it wouldn't clear my GT Spec Header (passenger side). If you are using an aftermarket header, you may want to double check fitment.
Specific to your question, I believe either would work (with or without a filler neck). Personally I like the filler neck even though you have to cut the radiator cap; makes burping the system easier. As for the stoker Koyo I never had a cooling issue while living in Texas. |

I do have Gruppe-S headers. I once test fitted an Ebay radiator (which i presume is almost identical in size) and the radiator had no issues clearing the headers.
I presume the 93-98 GC8 radiator isn't quite as thick as the swap one? Not being able to use the stock fans (granted I'd be willing to shave the shrouds) is a deal breaker for me. |

Just use your stock radiator. I have a '95 L model with a EJ20G and used my stock radiator for 2 years. The only reason I changed it was because it cracked. And my car was used for racing almost exclusively.
Stock radiators work just fine. Don't let anyone tell you different. |
