Just ordered up a few new parts;

-JPMCoachworks Shift Boot
-JPMCoachworks Ebrake Boot
-Prova SI-Drive Knob
-Bayson-R Front Lip

JPMCoachworks will be doing quite a bit of stuff for me in the up and coming months, I'm excited to meet up with them and discuss some stuff at SEMA in Las Vegas!

I'm also in the middle of an extensive detail session with the car, getting it ready to head down to Englishtown for EVO vs STi Shootout! Its a "track" car but I like to keep it clean!

Sorry didn't see ya out there. I was on low boost because the guy said I couldn't go faster than an 11.99 because I didn't have a fire jacket. 18psi got me a 12.1@115mph which isn't really bad seeing as I cut a 2.0 60'.

I have a bad habit of not laying into my launch control for some reason. Wouldn't of made a difference because of the clutch. I do part throttle then floor it on green, leaving the line with no boost... new twin going in, then going back out for low 11s.

Two pictures I took at EVO VS STI Shootout @ Englishtown.

Swapped out brakes for DBA 4000 Series Club Spec

And Motul RBF600

I built this whole car in my 1 car garage, it sucks ass...

I also swapped out the rear diff fluid for Motul MOTYLGEAR 75W90, and the transmission fluid for Motul Gear 300.

How is the car without avcs? I'm still really thinking about doing that but mine will be more of a daily.

I got a jpmc boot aswell. It's a hybrid boot to combine my console with the sti shifter

Just saw your post, sorry for the late reply. Car is great without AVCS, you get quite a bit of CEL's but once disabled everything runs flawlessly. I even passed inspection without ANY codes popping up.. BOOYA!

It has great power down low, nobody would ever be able to get in my car and say "AVCS is definitely disabled". From here on out, NONE of my Subaru's will have AVCS.

Wish you were closer so I could see for myself hahahahaha. I want to do a 2.3 de stroker, (might sleeve and bore to a 2.5) and want to do everything once for max reliability. Hence the longer rods. And deleting avcs I feel like would increase reliability a lot, am I correct? Lol

Absolutely. You can take my word for it. I have owned every version of WRX and STi that was ever released in the states. Running it without AVCS and around 9:1 compression is definitely the way I will build all my engines from here on out.

Remember, if you delete AVCS you have to keep the solenoid on the heads. Some people delete the exhaust side, but just keep that **** on there. Its not hurting anything. I also leave them plugged in but disable them in the ECU.

Interesting, you couldn't run a static cam gear off a wrx or something on both sides?

You can, but then you wouldn't be able to degree the camshafts in. They have different centerlines, so in order to get timing correct you have to use adjustable cam gears. You can't use WRX cams either for the "correct" centerline because the cam position sensor pickups are different. So I went with 04-07 camshafts so I didn't have to do 4 x AVCS Deletes (Tap and Plug), with 04-07 cams I only had to do 2, the exhaust camshafts.

I don't understand what your saying, you can't do an AVCS delete correctly without adjustable cam gears as the centerline for the cams is off. The only other way to do it is to use WRX cam gears and a LIC adjustable idler pulley.

http://licmotorsports.com/products/l...sti_lic-061505

You would use those in order to move the cam gears in the correct position, however that is way harder than just getting adjustable gears from BC.

Out she comes!

Sorry for the absolutely hideous pictures. I'm going to buy myself a new Nikon DSLR for x-mas, tired of instagram pictures LOL.

Plans;

New fuel system, custom harness, possible intake manifold flip, re-ring, cosworth head gaskets, MAYBE Carrillo rods, new clutch, ceramic coating, random powdercoating, and brake booster delete. Oh, and probably composite TGV's.

Looking to make Mid 500's on pump 93 in the spring.
