I like the vane with the spoiler, if you got perrin stiffys on the wing it would set it off!

I've had my eyes out for some used wing stiffies for the winged trunk, regardless of whether or not I put the vane spoiler on soon or not. Thanks for the input and positive comments... keep it coming.

Took a few pics the past week or so. A few with the wingless trunk, and then I plasti-dipped the top section of the STi wing on the winged trunk, and threw it on to see how it looked. The top of the sti wing had some scratches and swirls so I figured I would just do it black, similar to the syms style wing. let me know what you think.

Yea, thats the general review, I bought the car with it. I've had my eyes out for a white RS hood, (no scoop needed, as I am FMIC'd).

the red doesn't really "match" anything. I was going to do a white under hood theme, but I figured it would get too dirty.

got a cheap roll of "carbon" vinyl, so I thought I'd try the roof out. It was definately tough to install solo, most of the places I looked for tips for install recommended two people to help hold and stretch the vinyl, but my girl was at work and I was bored. It turned out pretty well, no creases or bubbles, So i'm happy with the install result. The only thing I don't like about it is that its a matte finish, not gloss. I may try putting a coat of clearcoat over the vinyl to give it a shine.

A couple more of the roof wrap... one in garage/flourescent lighting, one out in the rain today... looks a little less matte when wet.

I was a little worried driving in the rain today, as i was unsure if the CF vinyl roof wrap would hold up, if there was any small gaps in the front that water would get into and start to pull the vinyl back, but it seems good so far. i was able to tuck the vinyl under the windshield seal and rear window seal so I think its pretty good.

A few more with the roof wrap. it is starting to grow on me. I was unsure at first. it's a nice alternative to painting it (I was going to paint) because it's easily removable.

thanks man. yea i wasnt sure about doing it. i like the black roof when everything else is body color. but with the cf hood i had to add some black somewhere else. So i did the wheels a few months ago, and did the roof the other day.

Just finished doing the install on the oem 06-07 sti rear diffuser.

I am liking the look of the rear diffuser. however, being black, and under the car, its hard to see. thinking of painting it white and dealing with it getting dirty.

Painted the diffuser white.. already had mixed reviews on a different thread I posted on it. it's white plasti-dip, so it can peel off. it's going to get dirty yes, and the white will start to come off. I know all of this, and it will probably go back to how it was eventually. it was more of just a trial and error thing. Also never seen another one painted, so I figured I'd try it.

Got some time today to do a detail.

Wash, Clay Bar, Wax. Rain-X windows, cleaned brembos, cleaned wheels, shined tires. Interior wiped, shampoo'd, and vacuumed.













I was happy with the results. this car is just about 8 years old now!

Also re-sprayed the FMIC, as the black was a little rock-chipped. got it all nice again.
