I can say that my Forester has plenty of room for them due to the trans and engine being about 1.5" lower in the chassis than the impreza. |

I'm still trying to muster the strength to lift this thing! lol But we've had that beast in the engine bay several times already. If you could somehow eliminate the entire right hand strut tower....in the words of Lumbergh...that would be greaaaaaat j/k ![]() Bunch of sets going out this week! Sorry for the delay all. We're hustlin!! A bunch of downpipes are going out this week - I'm hoping to have yours coated up to get it out this week. If, not, it would be early next week.

CR-Kai's in 18x8.5 are what I have on the STI. They came with it, fortunately. I am not sure I would spring for a set of these new.
Awesome looking wheels and lighter than the factory BBS 17s even though the wheel is bigger. Enjoy! |

^^^ Definitely one of my favorite wheels! Work just knows what's up. ^^^
Here's an update of what we've been up to over the past 18 or so hours: ![]() We've gotten enough feedback from various BlastPlate patrons to do some further in-house investigation on trans tunnel clearance. We don't want people beating their trans tunnels if it can be avoided; hence the revision machine is in full swing! We gathered up 3 different chassis and threw them on the lift (not all at once of course- that's something that Blaine would attempt) - two cleared fine, one needed massaged enough that we felt it was time to CAD up, then tool up. Yes, these are all a *little* different from chassis-to-chassis within a code (surprisingly different in early 02 GD bugeye with weak trans, to later bugeye with better trans), and even more different from code-to-code; this change will just help ensure better overall clearance no matter which code you may have. When we originally learned of some tunnel massaging, we traced down one particular case of the threaded end of the bolt hitting. We didn't have access to the car to align the trans mount/motor, but had decent photos showing the potential issue. The solution was to flip the bolt around, plus a "clearanced" bolt head that still allows full torque-up: ![]() This is the revised bolt that will now go out to further esnure that Blast Plates will cooperate your particular chassis! And of course the bolt will be machined down to work correctly with the revised area. For customers that have paid for BlastPlates in this group buy and are still waiting for them to arrive: We will send you the revised plate, UNLESS you are in a big hurry, or just like the thought of Mjolnir'ing your trans tunnel sounds therapeutic - in this case your plates will ship this week, as long as you PM US ASAP STATING THAT YOU WANT AN UN-REVISED SET! For customers that have already received their BlastPlates: If you haven't installed your BlastPlates and would rather have the revised design, PLEASE RETURN ONLY THE DRIVER'S SIDE PLATE (the one with the upright facing to the right) to us. We will modify it, re-powdercoat it, and send it back to you. This free service is open to anybody that has purchased BlastPlates, so if your transmission has to come out and you want the revised plate, just send it back! For customers that are on the group buy list but haven't paid yet: PAY UP! heheThanks all for your patience. We're working crazy, drug mule hours to ensure that we provide you the best possible part for your money. If you are on the group buy and have any special needs or requests, please don't hesitate to call or PM us - we're here for you! thanks The Moore Performance Team (412) 951-6493

Just wondering since this revision, I know you said my plates were about to ship the other day...my car is a 2007 WRX. You had mentioned some have more room than others ans such..guess i'm wondering if they had shipped yet or if your were shipping me the revised set or if I would need the revision to clear.
Thanks a ton! -Mad Mike |

![]() It's understandable. People change their minds. This makes it tough to decide between taking deposits and just getting full payment later on in the production process; if you take deposits, then you have to refund them if the people don't follow through with the rest of the payment. if you wait to collect, then you can end up with a lot of people that back out, yet you still have to base your production #'s on the signed up count. Tricky. Quote:
