Default 2012 impreza base model.

Just have a question.
I have 2012 base model impreza. A/T,
When its in Park or Neutral and i step the gas pedal all the way. Its just stock in 4000rpm. Anyone know why? Thanks.

It's being governed more than likely. Can't say I've tried that myself but I've read it.

Since no one else can answer nicely. All A/T cars do that. They all are set to different rpm's. It's so people don't just sit there holding the accelerator at red line and cause damage to the engine/transmission. Even the brand new SS Camaro's and Mustang GT's at my work do the exact same thing

Lol. Too old for show off. And not the type of car for show off.
I had hard time starting the car. Because of old battery. That's why when it started i try to press the pedal and found out that its stock at 4000rpm.
