Lights are 6 inches in diameter

I did not run wire through the fire wall. I have these wired straight to my high beams so they turn on with my high beams and off when high beams are off.

Yeah I've done quite a bit of night driving and I am very happy. They really light up the night!

So you would use them in normal night driving or only in incremental weather? I don't want to get high beamed from blinding other drivers.

You cannot legally have more than 4 lights on at one time on the street.

So if these extra lights do come on with the high beams, they are not legal, because the high and low are both on together, so when you add these you are exceeding what is allowed.

This is how it is in CT (and NY and most states I am aware of, probably because of a federal highway code that states must adopt to obtain federal highway funds):

Thanks, you had done a great job of explaining that earlier. What I meant was do they glare and blind other drivers?

They only turn on with my high beams. So I am not blinding anyone because I do not have my high beams on when other cars are coming my direction

Well not to be Cap'n obvious, but don't you think adding additional lights on top of your high beams might bother other drivers on the road should you forget to switch them over?

He has no plans on using high beams when other cars are in his view, regardless, the question was are they legal on the street, and the answer is obviously no, in this arrangement he could now only legally use his high beams (because of the extra lights) offroad.

Whether he gets cited or not is up to the next hidden speed trap he drives by at night and the knowledge and kindness of the officer.

It also gives any officer who so chooses a legal reason to pull you over. I personally try to avoid those types of situations.

Pretty sure they need to have covers on them for on road use. Hence why you always see jeeps that have them mounted on the roof they have covers. Maybe im wrong b ut from my old wrangler days this rings a bell.
