Default What's good in Tucson?

Hello Tucson! (Is anyone here?)

I am visiting my parents for a week here, and I wanted to see if there are any scoobs around. I finally saw a couple STIs today, I am just wondering if you all ever meet up. The sightings thread seems to mostly people Phoenix. But if we can coordinate a meetup that would be great, would like to meet a few other car enthusiasts around here.

Also, what good stuff is there to do around here? Go-karting? Are there any good driving roads?
Any food recommendations are also appreciated (my parents do not get out a whole lot because of their jobs).

TIA!

I've heard that Mt. Lemmon is a pretty good run.

What's good in Tucson? Let's see...
The bums?
The views of dirt hills?
The dead vegetation?
The hateful people?
The 5 degrees cooler than godawful Phoenix air?

Haha I am so glad I moved out of az.

Mesatown for life!

I will have to check it out. After tonight, I never want to drive my car here again. I thought my car was going to explode after experiencing the "roads" here

My lingering question remains... any subies here?

There isn't a damn thing good about Tucson. That place is a hell hole, why anyone would want to live there is beyond me.

Honestly not alot to do down there unless you are going to a resort. My folks live close to Oro Valley..I go down quiet a bit.

atleast they get rain down in Tucson..getting tired of the duststorms in PHX all the time and 2 drops of rain.

I have gone to Tucson numerous times because most of my family live there but never had a Sonoran hot dog. You need to try one for me and let me know how it is. As far as food goes go to lucky wishbone which was established there and eegee's. As far as activities, I don't know, not a whole lot to do there. You can hiking. Also, Tucson has a lot of slow drivers haha!

Go to west phx, like between Van Buren and McDowell on 35th, and there are like 5 Sonora perro caliente spots on that strip alone and probably about 10-20 more within a 5 mile radius.

I was raised in Tucson and my favorite thing about this place is all the beautiful Latina women! Dude go check out a few salsa clubs if you think you can handle it. One of my favorite things to do is go hang at Starpass resort. It's been awhile since I have been there but there was a sunset tequila tasting every weekday. Basically they give you free tequila!

+2 on the drivers. I have actually been impressed with the food so far, everything I have had has been good, still gotta get myself a "perro caliente"

Just make sure you go to Lucky Wishbone or Eegee's if your parents have not taken you there because every Tucson local SHOULD know about it. If a Tucson local has never heard of Lucky Wishbone or Eegee's they are most likely crazy.

ummmm been to a few meets met some cool people there maybe one on Friday check azawd.org I think SIR is open Saturday if you wanted to go to a 1/4 mile strip. Only been here 3 months and haven't ventured out much as it so freaking hot ( I moved from So Cal) and the obligatory "but its a dry heat and cools of at night"

Tucson may be better than Phoenix, but Mesa, chandler, gilbert, tempe are all billions of times better than both.

Az flat out sucks. I lived there for 30 years and never want to go back... except for mexican food.
