Default FMIC help & suggestions for a saab 92x

I'm planning out a JDM STi EJ207 ver 9 swap on a Saab 92x 2.5i (06 impreza)
I won't be able to use a TMIC because my hood is non-turbo and buying a 92x hood w/ hood scoop is not only extremely hard to come by but very expensive. I don't plan on cutting into a nice aluminum hood either.

So my idea is to retrofit the TMIC to the front; has anyone every done this?

You'll be time, performance and probably money ahead by trying to get a real fmic core up front. Possibly buy a kit designed for a wrx and modify the pipes and or bodywork to make it fit. Then sell your v9 top mount for a couple hondo to recoupe some of the expense.
