Default Old school JDM cluster compatibility?

Have a 93 WRX (RHD) that requires a new cluster. Looking online it appears that v3 clusters are SUPER easy to find, and the plugs appear to be the same as my v2. Anyone know if all early (v3 and older) clusters are compatible with each other?

'96 is still V2. V3 would be '97 (&'98?)

Not neccisarilly. I just wanted to make sure you were looking at the correct wiring diagrams or seaching with the correct terms.

What's wrong with yours? I have some parts left over from one of them you can have. I swapped the 9k tach and the carbon face and orange needles into my usdm one.
