Yeah if you don't need the f/2.8 for low light then the f/4 is just as good. Super sharp just like it's faster brother.

Yeah I figured lighting won't be an issue at the track and I really don't want to spend the extra money on the 2.8 right now. Maybe next year if things go well.

I really dig that edit INKMAN, seriously, nice work! I'm not a fan of (I forget the correct term) when people only use a single color in a black and white but yours hightlights the car yet just mutes the background, doesn't go b/w and I really like it.

Almost forgot a couple things. You asked about the setup, these were all taken with a Sony A77 and the Sony 70-200 2.8. No tripod, but I'm glad I had my TAD gear hoody on because it allowed me to keep the dirt clods off me after each racer passed lol.

Now for the cleanup...I think my sensor is good, and so far my rocket air blaster thing-a-mahjig has gotten me by but do any of the pros have tips for sensor cleaning when it becomes necessary? I'm OCD and the thought of cleaning my sensor scares the piss out of me honestly.

Also...rsutton1223...your pictures are RIDICULOUS!!! Wow, seriously, nice work dude. It's an inspiration for me to try to improve from total noob to decent snapshot dude.

I have this lens on my Sony A77 and I really like it, for the cost it's definitely the best lens I found. I don't use it a ton at the moment because I'm very unhappy with my wide angle compositions. I haven't taken a single wide angle shot I even think is 'decent'. But the lens is a good buy in my opinion.

Very nice. Composition is definitely my biggest obstacle and I really like this one, nicely done! Do you think a brush or possibly bumping the black a little would eliminate the running light reflection inside the garage? Not a deal breaker, still a sweeeet picture, just thinking aloud.

^Nicely done. I like this composition, and the edit is well done too. This would make a cool spot for a long exposure night shot I think.

Thanks! I have people that do the same for me as well when I look at their shots. The best way to get better is to keep shooting. We all start somewhere (and I still have a long way to go)!
