+1 wayyy too much. Seeing HDR done right is very very rare. Never been a fan of it, even when done correctly.

Agreed, car looks terrific. Would actually prefer to see it without the tone mapping.

I love the title! Saturation seems a bit wonky to me though, like it has been cooled a tad too much.

Ah, well then, to each their own. Just like I tend to completely desaturated most of my pics. Everyone has there own 'eye'.

Rsutton...as usual dude your pictures just blow me away, along with the new paint job....bad ass dude...bad ass.

yeloh474, do you mind giving some insight into your light painting technique/method? I haven't done any yet but want to try and I really like your shots.

So many good shots in here lately, well done to all!

While we're on the subject of HDR...here is another improper HDR! I really want to learn to do it "properly" despite people disliking HDR.

HDR is a process. Tone-mapping is the deliberate over-processing of color for a certain look. You can use HDR software to enhance a photo without getting the 'tone-mapped' look. The tone-mapping look was interesting when it first came out, but now, after several years, I personally find that it usually detracts from the original photo. Often times, I see photographers use tone-mapping to try to hide a multitude of sins in the original composition.

For what it's worth, I would personally like to see your photo in black and white or sepia tone...

why do people still try to do HDR, it was cool in 08, now not so much or just overdone too much
