Drop the ISO, shoot in raw? Idk if it was a raw shot, but if it was it seems that the blown out portions could have been recovered with some shadowing in those areas.

Lol man I love it up here it's like the only thing I can occupy my time with. I don't have a lot of imagination though it seems hahaha. But I'll probably post a bunch within the next week because I just picked up another laptop so I can get to the 1000+ pictures I've been able to snap haha

Subie love at Petrolwerks meet
go to lens 135mm 2.0 dc
nd 4
shot f 2.8

sharp and crisp

I used a monopod 24-70 10 sec timer and toss it up in the air to get some high shots, sometimes i used a 16-35.

we got reserved parking for the meet by petrolwerks

www.facebook.com/jliuphotography for more

If I wasn't also driving i think i'd be able to get better rolling shots around the tunnels
I tend to shoot blind. I set the camera in my elbow set my arm on the window pointed out towards the car, and brace the top of my camera with chin and burst fire =P

I know needs more blur, about 1/60 cruising and matching car speeds around 60
Shot with the 24-70 2.8

Usually use the 16-35 but I had my one d700 mounted in a magic arm. I don't think the setup worked as well when we hit some curves and bends lol
Lesson learned make a window suction mount

Finally have time to edit more photos since I'm on spring break now.
Made the most of what I had, I think the kit lens for the 7D did pretty well. I need to get my hands on a 70-200 like every other photographer had out on the track that day lol.

My 35L just came in. It's pretty sweet. I can't wait to shoot more interesting cars with it. I just ran outside and quickly took a picture of my car just to play with, and it's a little dark now that I'm looking at it posted lol.

For those looking to get into doing Rig shots, let me know I have a Rig Pro 18ft boom for sale. Used about 3x, reason for selling is I'm looking into upgrading to a CF boom.

PM for question.

Oh yeah I'm aware. I read a lot of reviews and pretty much all of them said that. It'll take some experimenting to figure out how to get out of it what I want. Thanks!

Nice shots Alzilla! Really dig the 2nd and 4th shots. I'm envious that you got some one on one time with a Mclaren haha.

Can't remember, but this may be the only actual photo of my car I've put up so far lol. Probably because I haven't taken many of vehicles I like thus far but this one I thought was decent so I figured I'd share.

Just picked up a Nikon D3100. Really don't know much about it yet so this is just a photo I snapped in auto mode. Pretty cool camera so far.
