Okay, had a fun night at the racetrack last night. First time trying my hand at panning. Let me know what you think.

Looks good--1/100 is a bit quick for panning. Give 1/30 a try. You'll need a monopod for that low of a shutter probably but it will give it a bit more drama. Just my 2 cents, I like 1/30-1/60.

I know. I probably could have tried for a slower shutter speed, but wanted to make sure I at least had some shots that I liked. Next time I'll try to work on slowing things down.

are you using a tripod? these are underexposed and it looks like you've got some vignetting going on as well. what are you shooting with?

Yes it is. Just got back from day 3. I was positioned at the spectator area for stages 13 & 15. We'll have to see if I have anything good from today. The conditions were a little harder, but it was still a fun time. We're you up here for any of it?

Yes tripod, yes there is some vignetting. I realized that these were a bit underexposed but I didn't like the others as well. I am shooting with a nihon d80 with a quantaray 18-200 lens (which I really don't like)
