Yes it is. Just got back from day 3. I was positioned at the spectator area for stages 13 & 15. We'll have to see if I have anything good from today. The conditions were a little harder, but it was still a fun time. We're you up here for any of it?
Unfortunately no. I was there 2011. Somehow I missed the last 2 years. This was prob the best shot I got that year. Time for some re-edits.

Would the lense be the problem?

could be, but not necessarily. What were your settings and do you have originals you'd be willing to post?

generally speaking, your lens will have a lot to do with the quality of your shot. OBVIOUSLY there's a lot more to it than that (lighting, settings, skill), but if you can help your cause with a decent lens, you should.

Quality glass is important - eventually. But I don't think that is what is really holding these photos back. I think technique and exposure understanding is probably more limiting than the quality of the glass at this point (please, no offense intended OP of the topic at hand).

This. I think it's just a matter of understanding exposure and then adjusting in post.

Evoked photography is a prime example of this. Most of his shots here were shot with the stock 18-55!!!!

Hello fellow photographers

Definitely not my best work, but I'm still getting accustomed to shooting vehicles.

Nice pics everyone!

Another one from the weekend. Only really good shot from the two dirt stages I watched on Sunday.

Had some free time after class so I visited a location I haven't been to in 3 years, back when I first started shooting.

Have PS and Lightroom and prefer A3 the most. My photography skills are very entry level so it suits me just fine.

Free. It has basic editing tools including cropping, soften/sharpen, saturation adjustments, shadow/highlight adjustments, etc. It also can read some raw file types and convert to jpeg. For a free program it works quite well. Just don't OVER use it.

Nice, very sweet LGT. Reminds me a lot of the editing style of Visual Echoes.
