Thanks! The sun was very cooperative... That's essentially straight out of the camera, I actually had to desaturate it haha.

I wish I could see more of the car. Great lighting though!

Great shots. I love the little flares off the body on the last one. I love my 70-200. I have the IS version, it's worth the money.

Yeah, I definitely need to buy one. I may spring for the IS version as well... This one is non-IS and shooting at 200mm is brutal without at least a monopod unless you can get a fast shutter speed.

Once I get that and an 85mm 1.8 I think I'll be set for lenses for a while.

I also have the 85mm f/1.8. Super sharp lens. The chromatic is pretty bad on it though

Right now I've only got a 50mm 1.8 and a 17-50 Sigma f/2.8 OS, which has been a great lens so far.

I just realized ALMS is in 2 weeks so I need to find a way to come up with the cash for a telephoto...

Don't remind me. I'm going to be away next week and I'm gonna miss ALMS. One of my favorite events. Just rent a 70-200 f/2.8 for the day.

I think Im going to pick up another 7D. 70-200 is annoyingly short on Full Frame.

What about a 100-400?

If you just need another crop sensor body I'm selling a 40D body... Not sure if you need the features of the 7D specifically.

Ive got a 300 2.8 coming too. Getting a crop body will allow me to have, essentially, a full second set of focal lengths.

Need the Speed of the 7D. Theyre pretty reasonably priced.

The 100-400 isn't a constant aperture lens so it's not nearly as fast.

Theres that, also. I was unimpressed with it when I owned it.

Yeah I heard the image quality isn't the best. The range on it is pretty crazy though.

My second attempt at a rig shot. Nikon D5100, Tamron 10-24, 3 stop neutral density filter, 3 sec exposure, Manfrotto DIY rig.

Sick car! I like these. I think the cool tones work well with the color of the car but I'm also curious to see some of these with a warmer white balance. (Just my personal preference)

Looks like you had some brutal lighting conditions. The blue just jumps out at me on these photos. Looks like a cool event though.
