Bumped up the exposure slightly. I'm very happy how this turned out considering it was a random driveway shoot.

Canon T2i, 70-200 f/4 L IS, CPL filter, Lightroom4

Wish I had spent a bit more time shooting, but building security came up and gave me the boot. Also, forgot my CPL at home.

I've seen the Lamin-x Tint (lightest) on that it and it looks amazing if you don't wanna go the Red route. It tones down the chrome real well but keeps it clean, I just ordered some for mine today!

Took some night pics of my car starting to get more familiar with my camera. I decided to take some shots and turned out pretty dope.

Thank you for the kind words!

I shoot with a D600 and various inexpensive lenses:

Nikkor 24mm f/2.8
Nikkor 50mm f/1.8
Nikkor 35mm f/1.8
Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6
Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8

I post process with Photoshop CS6 and Bridge. I used to use Lightroom 4, but have no use for it now.

Working on that as my next mod. Definitely going the vinyl route, but not sure which brand yet.

OT from the thread but, grab some "metalcast" paint from auto-zone or wherever and do 5 coats of that. It looks sick and is basically a deep candy coat when you do that many layers. You can choose to clear coat it or not. Looks far better than vinyl imo.

Thanks for the info, I shoot a lot but want to get a new lens for my automotive shoots. Ive been using an 18-55mm for nature shots which is working fine. Out of those which do you think would be my best pick up to shoot more cars? I intend on buying a new lens really soon but dont want it to be the wrong one.

There really is no best out of all of them unless you primarily shoot a specific range. If you like wide angles, I'd recommend the 24mm. But if you want something pretty average and takes phenomenal photos, go with the 50mm 1.8. If you like shooting long lens shots from afar, the 70-300 isn't bad. It's pretty hard to choose the wrong lens for shooting cars to be 100% honest. As long as you know your camera and have an idea of how you'll be shooting, you should be fine.

But another thing that you have to take into account when buying lenses is the format. For instance, Nikon has a DX and an FX format, DX being for crop sensor cameras (typical camera you see in Walmart, Best Buy, etc) and FX for full frames (such as my D600).
