Yeah, I've seen a lot in that price range but people are saying they aren't worth it. I only want to spend money once.

I paid about 80 for mine, and it's a SOLID tripod with good range of heights and even has levels built into it for side shots and level shooting. Only downfall is that it doesn't go super low.

Rsw has some great shots there. Although, I'm curious as to one thing. Is that vignetting I'm seeing or does the image just look that dark on the edges? Maybe I'm seeing things. That second shot looks blotchy, like black patches all over the picture.

Love the locations though

Thanks! That is vignetting added during PP, I have a dark side that tends to come out in my pics. Some love it but its not for all!

I do like the effect of the vignetting in your photo's, but I must admit it made a couple look funny for some reason.

+1 for vignetting. I find my self adding vignetting during pp as well.

Thanks man! Those are older and I think it was the fist day I got my polarizer filter. I think if I went back and re edited them they could be better. I have learned a few things since then luckily.

Once you use a quality ball head, you will never go back. Id rather use handholding techniques than use a tripod that is a pain to adjust and/or drifts.

I dont use tripods enough to buy another $1000 setup Im going to lose.

Seriously, if I stopped losing lenspens, rocket blowers and tripods, I'd be able to buy a 1Dx.

I think what people fail to remember sometimes is that not everyone in here makes money off of this and/or is a pro. So why it would be nice to have the best equipment, not everyone is going to spring for pro gear. I'm sure there is something that would work that doesn't cost a ton of money, especially when you're not not supporting the weight of big pro glass. I've talked to a lot of people and a "good" tri pod will run around 300 bucks or so.
