The 5D3 got the focus system from the 1DX without the sensor. It's rock solid.

Maybe if I can find someone interested on my camera with the kit lenses I'll upgrade to the 7D.

I won't need my zoom lens in the winter and I'm going to be making a move on a big boy zoom in the spring time anyway. I can live with my 50 and 85mm for now and maybe a flash in the near future.

I'm also curious to those who have winter; what do you guys shoot when it's too cold or nasty to go outside? We might have to expand the thread a little for the season.

Being in MN, I shoot very little during the winter. Weddings/portraits/sports are very sparse and car things are pretty much non-existent. It's kind of nice to not have thousands of pictures waiting for me to edit at all times.

I'm going to have to try that out if we get any snow this year.

Lol. I don't know if you guys got that big ass storm right before Halloween last year. That was crazy! I didn't have my snows on so that killed it for me. I don't think we got any snow after that, it sucked.

Haha. That was a loooong time ago. I was bummed that I didn't get to do as much Trick or Treating, haha. But 30" of snow on Halloween is something people still always talk about this time of year.

2 years ago (the first year I got my car), I got my snow tires on just in time for the first snow. It was only 2-3 weeks after I got my car and I had just gotten the snow tires. I put them on and the next morning we had a bunch of snow!

These photos were less than 24 hours apart!

Last year we got very little snow, just like you guys.

I picked my car up the day before a snow storm, took it to work and put snows on it. It was clean for like 12 hours.

On a completely different note, I shot the moon for the first time. This was taken with my 85mm and cropped about 10 million percent but it just shows you the clarity and sharpness of the lens! The picture is small because it was so heavily cropped.
