I like the last picture. You got some lens flare that you might wanna clean up a little in the left and it looks like everything is leaning to the right a little bit. Nice shots though!

I do not understand why everyone on these boards seems to hate lens flare. That is probably one of my (and my customers) favorite things to do.

I don't hate it at all. I actually like it a lot but in case I don't think it does anything for the picture and maybe would get rid of a couple spots. Just my opinion that's all.

I'm with Inkman, I don't mind lens flare but it is slight in that shot and doesn't add anything to the photo imho

I'm using a Nikon D90 and don't know how lower models are but I find that high iso noise isn't terrible if you use it when it is actually needed and used as a last resort. When it is dark or dim light, high iso is needed.

I took this on Saturday. Shot as raw, loaded into lightroom and then saved as jpeg with no editing. Exposure is proper for the location along with saturation and vibrance of colors. I would like to pull out some of the shadow detail tho.

Both shots were from a Jaguar Alive Driving Experience. I somehow got an invitation in the mail and was not going to turn down the opportunity. I got to drive the XKR (3 laps of autocross) , XKRS (0-70mph-0) and XJ (showing off traction control system).
Also have this as a tease. I wish I hadn't been lazy and put on the CP filter for the few shots I got of this outside. most other shots were indoors and didn't want to carry the filter in my pocket inside.

The lens flare or polygonal shape effect you see from the light source is created by the aperture inside the lens. When you use a small aperture, the effect you get is similar to using star filters on your lens.

You can see the effect here in my test exposure rig shot below.

Canon 5D MKIII
Canon 16-35mm L II USM f/2.8
B+W MRC Circular Polarizer Thin

Those rig shots look great! I love how it looks with a long rig and wide lens.

That was at Vegas right? I love these cars but I don't think the tracks allow for really good racing. It's more bump someone out of the way and pass. Anyway, I wish you had a different lens for some close up action! The shot ok Block walking is kind of cool with his car being towed in the background.
