I know people are going to say the sky is blown out...but I did it on purpose. This is one of those "breaking the rules" times that I did off of my own personal preference.

Bump for people to see this photo again. I absolutely love it. Sky being blown out is perfect for this.

I believe you know your way around a camera/photo enough to know when your sky/background is blown - unnecessary for it to be pointed out to you (aside from jokes/sarcasm, that is). +1 for artistry. Love the photo. Love both versions, actually.

Sony A77 / SAL70200G @ 2.8 / 50 ISO... the articulated screen owns for stuff like this. I hand held this shot w/ the screen out @ 90 degrees @ 200mm (300 crop factor).

Thanks for all of the feedback on the sunrise image! It is one of my favorites. Went for another drive this morning. Working on profiles...

Anyone have any good info on sick camera deals going on this week? I saw that Canon has a refurb 7D going for $950. Just wondering what's out there or if anyone has any crazy promo codes.

Ok thanks. It seems like the 7D is never on sale and is pretty much the same price everywhere.

I was also looking at the 6D coming out but I think the 7D is going to fit my needs better with shooting motors ports. I like the AF and high FPS that it offers. I would love a full frame for my portrait stuff though but since this is just a hobby I'm going to have to stick with one body.
