Makes sense. I was thinking of doing both for when I have my dog back there. Definitely need the sides though too. Sad you have to drill holes. I guess if you're nice enough to your dealer they'll do it for you for free.

I just did it on Sunday, it was really easy to do once you spot that small indented dot on the side panel. They only problem I had was drilling with the big, 1/2" bit, it didnt make a clean hole; it left one side undrilled due to the bit shape. I had to use a smaller bit to drill out this section and then used the 1/2" bit again to make a clean hole.

I can see these being really useful though, especially for carrying my kayak straps for the rest of the summer!

I was gonna go with the rear seat nets but decided against it. The cargo and side nets work out perfectly for me.

I'm assuming you all have Imprezas - NOT WRX's because i can't find the dimples to drill. I'll probably do the 550 cord route.

I ordered one on eBay and was playing with it earlier. I keep gloves, hats and misc gear in my car during the colder months. Now i'm wishing i'd ordered the side ones.

the indent is on the rear panel of the 2012 impreza, I have no idea if the WRX has the dimple, but probably not. Can you order the side cargo nets as a WRX accessory?

Yes. I have the same hangers and tie downs near the hatch like the picture above, i also have the tie downs near the seat-back. I don't have the dimples near the seat, i just checked again.

I checked on subaru parts mall and subaru online parts and the cargo net was listed for all imprezas. :/

No biggie. I was going to relocate the hangers to where the roller shade cover mounts but decided not to.

I just installed the rear seat and side cargo nets this past weekend. The rear seatback net uses the same anchor that has to be installed as the side nets. So I now have a spare set if I ever need them.

Also when we got the car I asked the dealer to throw in the cargo nets, we got the rear net. This one attaches to the factory hooks rear the hatch. It actually works well to hold smaller items between the net and the hatch.

I'll try to get a photo over the weekend.

My directions said to drill with a 1/4" bit first, then 1/2"... which resulted in a clean install. If anything, I almost ****ed up because my 12v drill didn't have enough oomph.

Meh, drilling takes 5 minutes of your time and gives it a factory clean look. Don't be a vag and drill some holes.

I have the cargo tray, anti slip mat, rear seat back protector, side cargo nets and rear seat cargo net. I'll try to post some pictures for you tomorrow.

I agree about the comments for the side nets. They are pretty small. However the dealer included all these cargo accessories for me so I can't really complain that much.

The rear seat net is pretty useful. I use it to stop grocery or shopping bags from siding around.
