Me thinks I picked a wrong time to leave AWD.

Alaska, in all the 28 years I've lived here I've never wanted to punch you in the face more than I do at this very moment.

In September though?

Just looked it up: September 20th, 1947 is the record for earliest snowfall in Anchorage. So we missed it by 8 days.

Just think...it's September and it's already snowed. Imagine what this winter will be like. Worse than last year.

2013 BRZ Limited 6MT Crystal Black Silica arrives this week. Ordered in April, but wasn't sure I was getting it until recently. Even then I won't be sure until I've driven it off the lot, but that's just how I am.

Well, it's either I buy a new car or I join the military, get a wife, have a kid, buy a house, move states, etc. etc... I kid!

Seriously, though, I do it because I can. Wants and desires come and go, but the means and opportunity don't always align.

And what are you going to do with the WRX? I thought you were trying to get out of the new car game, and the monthly payments associated with it.

The WRX is either being sold or traded in. Payments on the BRZ will be significantly lower for insurance, car payments and maintenance. I pretty much thought about what car I would want with me when I moved down to the Lower 48 in the next couple of years and decided that the BRZ was the most appropriate choice. Despite what people may think, I do plan ahead and do have patience, so I don't mind giving Alaska a few more years.

Plus I moved back in with my family, so rent is much more consistent and manageable (and appreciated here).

Valid points, though. I also got tired of thinking like a married man since most of the people on this board or that I regularly associate with are married.

I'm digging the white mountains, and with the sun out earlier it felt like spring.

well the snow got me realizing I had put off organizing the garage for winter long enough. So yesterday I told my room mate how I planned on fitting 4 motorcycles, 2 subarus and 2 bicycles PLUS access to her winter tires, my tool boxes and most importantly, the beer fridge.

She laughed and said impossible.

Well last time a woman said "That won't fit" I proved her wrong.

So today I pushed/rolled everything out into the driveway. Cleaned up everything and now I have 4 motorcycles + an easy to access snowblower on the third side. Also got access to the tools and the beer fridge. Both subarus sit on the main section. Her bicycle that she won't ride in the winter is hanging from hooks on the ceiling. The other bicycle my other room mate rides sits next to my FZ8. The trash can sits between two motorcycles close to the garage door. And her winter tires are sitting next to the completely accessible BBQ. Plenty of room to walk around. Heck I even have room to roll up my shop stool and sit in front of my arcade machine.

Bring it on winter. I'm ready.
