There was recently an episode of Crime Inc that focused on car related crime that quite informative. There was also an episode done on the huge insurance scam ring down in the lower 48 that included doctors and lawyers and a couple police officers that was quite interesting as well. |

Irregardless of who currently owns ANY vehicle, there will ALWAYS be people that may refer to it as someone previous' car. Whether completely changed up and reworked, or just new wheels, someone will always "know" it was someone else's. To be completely butt hurt from someone mentioning the car had previous owners shows immaturity IMHO. Acknowledge it was someone's old ride and remind them it's yours now and what you did. Dont throw a hissy fit over it. |

I don't know why everyone is getting all butt hurt. Smoke something and relax. To me that car will always be Justin's old car. Its the car he had when we met and became good friends. It spent several months at my house while we rebuilt the engine. Infact Google Earth street view had it sitting in my driveway.
Sorry I got seascoopy out of his nasioc retirement... ![]() but my mind won't be swayed. every time I see that car, it will always be Justin's old car to me. no matter how much it gets changed. |

and i dont mind that but the context you used made it sound like alex aquired it from justin in the state its in. alex mentioned that you always refer it to being justin's. id just rather it be told how it is, especially to someone asking a question about who a car belongs too.......
put credit where credit is due. thats all i ask........ |

honestly on the outside there isn't much that alex did. Justin had risers under the factory spoiler and had a carbon fibre hood. also had a nice set of 18" rims on it too. Alex just took it back to another look is all. It looks more stock now then it did before. But thats the direction Alex went. And nothing wrong with that. It looks good.
Alex has poured a lot into whats underneith. And I'm not taking that away from him when I refer to it as Justin's old car. I got memories of that car dating back to 06 when Justin got it. That stuff doesn't just go away cause someone else owns it. So it will always be Justin's old car to me. If that bothers people, I don't care. |

No, whats important is realizing that the car you own (or even house for that matter) might have a history that predates your ownership and likewise someone will remember those times quite fondly and refer to the item as the previous owners as they have no "new" memories of that car/house/etc with the new owner. So internally they equate that item with the previous owner.

i guess....., that is fine. it was just how it was said.
i made my point though so take it how you want. my problem wasn't with the association it was about credit of amazement to a third party. Last edited by Alaskan EJ20; 10-09-2012 at 09:41 PM. |

Big Al (Dynoflash) on Youtube finally made another video. Been a long-time subscriber of his for a while now. Good for him for making better changes in his life too.

Thoughts on Duralast Gold batteries? I'm looking for a new battery that will handle the cold weather really well. I was gonna spring for an Optima Red Top, but was just researching and apparently they have been going downhill the past couple years.

I bought an optima yellow top last year after my stock battery died.

I have a Duralast in a car that sits in the driveway 99.9% of the time. It seems to be a very hearty battery.

But the Duralast Gold we have is strong too. It replaced a 9 year old AC Delco. That was one tough battery. |
