I believe it's based on a graphic novel, which predictably my friend is upset the show hasn't followed it well enough. TWD that is.

I don't know why people expect film adaptations to follow novels to closely. They're different mediums catering to different people.

When there are ones that give you exactly what you expect, they're very uninspiring, in my opinion. The movie doesn't push the envelope of it's own medium and just sticks to the book. The film doesn't challenge itself, so it pretty much just becomes a waste.

The imagination is a wonderful thing, which is why reading is so enjoyable. Films are supposed to push even further, "beyond our imaginations", so to speak.

I'm watching the trailer for The Life of Pi right now. I loved the book and I'm enjoying seeing some of the scenes described in the book come to life, but I REALLY hope it doesn't follow the book page by page.

Watchmen had a good twist of how they made the ending work for the movie medium, but they sacrificed too many other things from the graphic novel to make it truly remarkable.

As for the '14 Forester, I kinda like it the more I look at it. It could be good. Gotta see what can be done to it I guess. The 1st gen was just so cool, since everything crossed between the 3 models based on the same chassis.

Argue about something more important like cake vs pie. Or which winter tire people are having a preference for this season.

I spent sunday catching up on season 2 part 2 that I missed when it originally aired. Got seasons one and two on bluray. This has got to me one of my favorite series.
