I believe it was Kyle who recommended Advanced. Precision is one I've heard of, but forget the reputation. A quick search in this forum will yield the results you seek.

Yea but that's the issue too, a lot of shops here go downhill or disappear. So it changes frequently with the times. For example Dr. Vinyl like we discussed the other day, used to be a great place for tint, now I'd never take a car there and only have CCA touch my vehicles.

Thanks for the help. Going to call some of these places tomorrow and see what they charge. Really don't know how far I want to go with winter sets.

October needs to get over with.

Day after my wife gets home from 6 days in the hospital, I go the ER. fractured/dislocated pinky toe.

Awesome. Now I'm on a 4-week profile where I have to wear a shoe that resembles a combination of a slipper and a bowling shoe.

Gangnam Style will have to be the Gangnam Hop for Halloween.

Oh yes! They did really good work on your STI wheels! I remember emailing them for a quote shortly after you got your wheels done. Good peeps.

Not a good suggestion. Take it to the police if it's a real threat. No sense in getting yourself thrown in jail for something stuppid.

Zero tolerance. If your wife is feeling threatened, call the police. Do not take matters into your own hand and escalate anything. Do not sit idle and allow this to move to the next level. Be proactive, not reactive. Present your case and let them decide the proper next step.

Thank you, I just contacted a professor of mine who's a lawyer, I'll wait to hear back from him first. I'm trying to avoid the police for now as my name being mentioned in a report could have ad adverse affect on my future career, regardless of the circumstance.

Going after that Flex?

Don't know any Ford dealers but we have used TOTE and they were fast, only 4 days and no damage. The car rode aboard their large freighter.

Getting the TT Explorer?

I used Wrightway for my 07 LGT and more recently TOTE for the S4. I would use TOTE again as they were better on price (was fairly close but still, cheaper is cheaper), had a better barge schedule and pickup was at the port, i.e. closer to my office. They also put the car inside like on a ferry deck, versus a container.

Carter Subaru treated me right, if they had a ford hop I'd give them a shout, but honestly that might be a Q for the WAIC group.

Carter Subaru full on ****ed my RS this summer when I broke down in Canada. My car could have blown the motor from running lean or even worse could have caught on fire from the simple mistakes they overlooked when my car was in their care. Not to mention I had to fight the original $3200.00 estimate. I appreciated the rental car and turn around time... But I'd trade customer service over workmanship any day. Sales could be a totally different story.. I only had experience with the service department.

That is all.

I had carter change my oil on the way up last year, only thing that kind of pissed me off was they let out several pounds of nitrogen from my tires without asking me. Went to R&H garage this year, awesome service, even had a NASIOC discount and only a block away from this amazing breakfast place called BETH's.

So, I think I may be keeping my car. Was thinking about selling it to get a new STi but I'm so close to paying it off (talking months away, which would be a few years early). Still up in the air, having a car with no car payment would be crazy awesome and my first. Only time with a little more thinking will tell.

I've been trying to explain this to others:

Why order a 2013 STI when the new STI is supposed to be even MORE focused on performance? All of the top execs for Subaru across multiple continents have shown excitement for it. If you feel so strongly compelled to get the 2013 STI, at least wait until they reveal the 2014 WRX (or STI). If you don't like what's being offered then, you'll still have the option to get the out-going model STI, most likely at a discount.

Also, with all due respect, the current STI is the exact same STI, essentially, that's been out since 2005. I still prefer the look of 2005MY as far as matching performance with design, but I obviously can't deny the appeal of the 3G STI, too. I just think that if you're coming this late into the game AND have already owned an STI before, it might be better to wait.

Take it from a guy that's pre-ordered his last two new cars: Ordering your car with everything is ultimately not worth it. Unless you HAVE to have NAV, but the BRZ came with it, so whatever. You only pre-order to guarantee the color you want. However, if you're willing to road trip, you could net yourself a VERY good deal for out-of-state.

Just my $0.02.

That is all.
For someone that apparently works at a dealer, you of all people should know that the sales staff and the service staff can produce polar opposite experiences.

I have had very poor sales experiences at Conti Subaru (& Mazda) in the past. To the point I'd more likely look into L48 dealers BEFORE looking at Conti. I however, have never had an issue with their service departments, and would gladly take any car there.

Carter was able to give me a deal on a new 07 LGT that Conti was unwilling to entertain, even giving them a bone by including what I'd spend on shipping. Carter wound up selling the color I wanted, but was willing to pull the vehicle from a dealer some 100+ miles away, still honor their sales price, and transported it to the docks without charge. So yes, I had a good SALES experience with them.
