Default Slowly rising WGDC

Hey Im in need of some help.

I have recently put my car back to stage 2 and flashed the exact stage 2 map that i had previously had on that worked 100%.

Now my car is your basic 05 wrx with 3"TBE, catless Up, 3 port. I dont want to post any tunes or logs because it was a purchased OTS previously but the issue is easy to explain.

Issue- when i go wot, my wgdc starts around 10% (2500rpm) and slowly makes it way to the commanded 55% (4200rpm) which is where i hit full boost. This obviously is causing the very slow spool. Not fun. My understanding is its supposed to hit max wgdc right near 100% wot. So what gives?

Boost leaked tested with good success.

I have yet to get my car up on a lift and see if theres an uppipe leak-Could an uppipe leak cause the wgdc to act like this?

Does this sound like its tune related or mechanical to you folks?

Im not a total newb when it comes to tuning but not to far off. I plan on getting a protune but would like to wait till i get my turbo set up and ready for e85 to spend the bucks on the tune. Hate to waste the money on getting a stage 2 tune dialed in when i plan on going bigger in a month or so.

Thanks for reading this and helping if you have any ideas.

What does your initial WGDC map say? and what are your turbo dynamics tables set at?

A leaking uppipe or EWG will do the same thing.

Initial is set at 35% from like 2400+. Also should state in the 100% tps column for wgdc max is at 55% and the wastegate arm is turned iirc 2 full turns.

Dynamics are set both to -1.00 -.75 -.50 -.25 0 .25 .50 .75 1.00

Once again these settings worked rather well before returning to this set up which makes me lean towards an uppipe leak other than a tune issue. Now just to find the time to look at that uppipe.

Just to clarify for myself- the wgdc should get to the max that your table states to try to achieve commanded boost correct?

I wish I could stand the noise of an ewg.

usually on a stage 2 your wgdc should start high and taper off as you get closer to hitting your target boost. So as an example you go wot starting at 1500rpm, your wgdc with at 3 port might be 70% and at 3000rpm might be 60% or less.

I'm not sure if I am misunderstanding you, or what... Bit it seems to me that you just have a ****ty map.

Your car should probably never see 100% wgdc. If you want to get the turbo to spool up you are going to need to play with the first ROW of your wgdc max table. IIRC, my tune is set to run 0% in the second column of the first row, and slopes sharply up to 83% in the 100% TP column. which keeps the boost off while cruising and regular driving, but rips the stock BCS open when I want the boost to come on.

Since I suck at describing thing, I would suggest you just screenshot your Wgdc max and initial tables. Along with your Target boost table, and post them. Here is my current tune (DO NOT USE THESE VALUES WITH YOUR 3 PORT!)

My tables are on the left, the stock 07 wrx tables are on the right.
