So..........it begins.

I finally decided to migrate from the NWIC to the SWIC seeing as how I will be venturing from Portland, OR to Avondale, AZ on the eve of the 30th. Expecting to finally call AZ home (for now) by saturday. I'd love to get into some meets or rides yall are having when they come up. this is how she sits for now, but here is my love and passion :]

it's a work in progress of course but it can only go lower from here

welcome to the desert! having grown up in Portland, I can tell ya you're in for a definite change! thankfully you should be getting in right when it starts getting nice in AZ and rainy in OR. Besides the weekly meets there is a all cars meet called Pavilions in Scottsdale on Saturday nights, and there is Firebird raceway which has a ton of autocross, NASA and drift events throughout the year if you're trying to track your car.

don't take it personally when i say that i feel only a shotgun blast of thank you's is easier than quoting every single reply. With that said, i hope to see everyone at some point or another. I have a family friend i just discovered living in Scottsdale and another in Prescott so who knows? I may be all over the place.

Ha, I lived in the tigard/portland border for a while so we (my friends and I) always called that area "Tigerland". I'll be in the Prescott area the weekend of the 7th so if anyone wants to meet up I'd be down. I'll be meeting a friend and getting details on the whereabouts but let's start this off right. Waddya say?

It seems that the majority of people that move to Avondale from out of state do it to attend UTI, is this the case with you?

Yes. I just separated from the Military in February and tried my hand at college and to no one's surprise it did not go so well. Alternative? UTI. Besides, who wants to pay for labor and parts at a shop if you can do it yourself. :]

I hope to see you at the westgate meet. Like one or two of the guys at the meet attend UTI and some others graduated. Also, I heard they are not letting students work on their cars at the school anymore or are at least trying to. Anyways, have a safe trip!

****, I know whatcha mean. Every lecture type class I've had i've not done so well. Everything that was hands on and didn't have some boring instructor I did quite well.

You are still allowed to work on your own cars, I think if you change to the blended learning you can't anymore. I'm in the afternoon class too, I got the red bugeye wagon

I want to convert to the STi interior since most of it bolts right in. I was also talking to a few of the admission guys over at UTI and asking about where the Subaru dealership was because I wanted to try and get a job there while i'm here! small world, haha.

Pm class but I typically try to park on the side as you're heading towards the back by the tan connex's in the parking lot. PM me if you wanna meet up before Westgate. I'm trying to get a few of the subies in my area over there tomorrow night also.
