Default 2012 sti sedan log first time

Hello! I didn't get any response ont he cobbtuning forum, so I'm trying here:

I have a 2012 STI Sedan. I have the COBB SF intake and OTS stage 1 SF+ for 93 octane normal wastegate.
Attached are 4 files.
Two are day 1 pulls (before exhaust)
and the second two are day 2 pulls (after exhaust)

Link to log files:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/12gacjwm3r25vpk/YlzqyVYSB4

Day 2 mods are the same (cobb sf intake stage 1+ ots map 93 octane) and exhaust is just the nameless axleback (no muffler) version. I'm seeing some knock if I'm reading that correctly.

* I can't safely do a 4th gear pull, best I can do is 2nd/3rd at least right now, but I want to make sure the car runs correctly under load.

Thank you.

Can you put these up on google docs? If so, make sure to transfer to google docs format to allow for previews and set the premissions to public. I would try to get a 3rd gear run from 2000 RPM on up if you can do so safely, rather than a 2nd to 3rd gear run.

I believe I have it setup correctly for google docs:

The log files are starting in 2nd gear throughout 3rd gear to redline shifting in between. Is this OK or do you want JUST 3rd gear only?
Regardless, still curious about the knock.. What is considered a LOT of knock compared to what my logs are showing? Thanks Bill!

day1 2nd and 3rd gear:

day 1 some knock:

day 2: nameless muffler delete (no muffler) s mode:

day2: s sharp same mods:

You have like 1 knock case in each of the logs, but they are happening at bad times. It's optimal you have logs only in 3rd gear, but only do it safely. You may be getting some knock due to lift off / throttle mashing. This wouldn't occur in a continuous 3rd gear pull.

Alright thanks, I'll try to get one tomorrow or the next day. 4th gear is hard to pull off but I can manage 3rd getting onto a highway. Is that satisfactory or is there a difference between 3rd/4th gear when it comes to tuning/logging the car?

thanks again

3rd gear is fine due to safety concerns. You'd be going into the 100s if you did a 4th gear pull to redline.

A lot of the knock seen here is due to hard shifts or mashing the throttle. When you see feedback knock within a few lines of going from lower throttle to WOT quickly (either when shifting or just mashing the gas), this is generally noise and not a concern.

But, you want to try to get an extended 3rd or 4th gear run from 2000 RPM on up if possible (if you can do so safely). This will remove the false shift knock from the middle of the run and allow you to also see how boost control is reacting. In your logs, you are getting a boost spike at times so it may be that you need to run the low wastegate (LWG) version of your map. We'll better know with the 3rd gear run.
