Default Got a CEL this morning, 2012 WRX Stage 1 93 datalogs

This morning I received a CEL on start up, traction control was off, and cruise was blinking. I have a 2012 WRX stage 1 93 map for about 6 months now and the car has 15k miles. I flashed to stock when I should of checked for the code. When I did this the CEL was reset. I then flashed back to stage 1.

The first log below was a week before the CEL. The others are today after the CEL was reset. I am observing feedback knock and fine knock learning. I did just fill up with Shell Vpower 93 on Sunday. I never have an issue with their gas. The last log I did a launch just to see what would come up.

I actually hope the CEL comes back so I can check it. How do the logs look? If I flashed to stock and the CEL disappeared does that mean the issue is not all that serious? From your tech experience do you think the CEL will come back and will it show up under the stock map. My plan is to keep it at stage 1, when it comes back find the code, then flash it to stock and drive it till it comes back and then take it into the dealer. Don't know if thats the best plan or not.

First three are third gear pulls, the last is a launch and shifting

The logs look good - you do have one log with feedback knock correction in the middle of the WOT run. If that comes back consistently in future logs, I would consider reflashing the 91 octane map while running the 93 octane gas to be on the safe side.

When you reflash a map or uninstall the AccessPORT, the ECU's memory is cleared - which includes any CEL code. So, it just means you cleared the code - not that it went away on its own. I would definitely read the code if it comes up again - it could potentially be serious, but impossible to know without the code(s).

Understood.. Is it safe to assume if it was serious I will get the CEL again soon? I just hope it didn't clear and won't come back an ill be driving with an issue. Not that savvy when it comes to these sensors and if they come back if I reflashed before checking code

Just depends on what the issue was. Some failures are intermittent and will only trip the CEL when they occur. Some require a good amount of driving with the problem before the ECU will set the CEL (or before the values will populate accurately to indicate a problem). I would just continue driving without reflashing any more maps or resetting the ECU and then pull the code with the AccessPORT if it comes up again.
