I love these threads, reminds me of my build I just finished. Looks very nice! I'm still trying to get used to 500whp in my sti, I can't imagine what 650+ would be like.

Thanks Kyle! At around 600 the car will get lose in first and second gear on the street. Just thinking about it is making me want to finish my break-in ASAP!

I'd get rid of the Grimmspeed AOS. No way it will flow enough for those power levels. Gonna need a Crawford or Moroso. I had the GS but switched to the Crawford on my 550AWHP setup.

Cool dude. I actually didn't go to the cruise this year! My buddy and I were so busy with car work... plus the humility of knowing your car wasn't ready in time.... lol.

What kind of issues were you running into? Maybe you were experiencing more blow-by than you should?

I was just out at Woodward last night running it in! I was surprised there was no one at Potbelly. I'll be going to Milan to tweak the tune on Sep. 22nd for a track rental then hopefully at a No E.T. in October!

UPDATE! Got the car running finally. Put 120 miles on her so far and everything feels great! Here's a few more pics of finishing up the build but as you guys can imagine I was a little excited and didn't take a ton of pics. I will get a couple videos uploaded tonight hopefully. Sounds mean at idle!

Here is after I put the turbo in

Plus charge piping... That discharge tube is a *****

All done!

Pressure wash to get all the dust and crap off, hand wash tonight

Removed the wing to repair a couple broken studs on it. Looks better with wing IMO.
Thoughts?

Stay tuned for more updates!

Thinking your going to need a bigger fmic. Also for race gas and pump -6 fuel lines are big enough for 750 whpish. e85 you would need larger. The GS AOS cant keep up with high hp or even moderate track cars. Youll have oil all in your intake, it just doesnt have the volume to hold any oil.

It doesn't flow enough air for a big turbo setup. In my experience they create extra crankcase pressure which prevents the turbo from draining and causes it to push oil out the seals.

I may roll out there on the 22nd if you will really be there. I'm only ~20 miles via back roads from Milan.

Unfortunately it's a closed track rental. My employer rents the track out for us annually. I will be going to a no E.T. in October though if everything works out!

Here's a video of a cold start today. The pistons and valvetrain are a little noisy when cold but quiet down quite a bit after warmup... The idle sounds great! no smoke or leaks so far.

Here's a short pull that I did. It has 230 miles on it, around 500 I will be changing the oil and opening her up more.
