Hey there. Looking to swap a vf39 into my 2006 wrx wagon. I do not wish to use, nor purchase an aftermarket high flow downpipe (smog laws in commiefornia, not worth the headache). I will have a Cobb catback and sti downpipe. My question is, will I be safe to drive on a stage 2.5 tune to make it to the tuner about 90 miles away? Not mug info on this... I checked. From reading it seems like this would just cause me to under boost.
Any thoughts would be nice.

Nm this is a horrible idea. The only solution I can think of is to install a cheap used 3 inch bell mouth to get me to the tuner, then uninstall and install stock sti pipes.... P.i.t.a. Thoughts?

You can drive it, just don't go into boost

Bill, what type of map would you recommend for those of use that have to revert to a stock downpipe only for emmissions running 565cc injectors and vf39/43's in order to pass without issues?
