What do you mean by back up horn? A siren that contains a backup battery? If so, do you want to replace your existing siren or ad it along with it?

If you want to give me the wire color coding off of the siren I can most likely help out.

Haa haa haa.. I thought you were talking about one of those "beep...beep...beep...beep" delivery truck backup sirens.

Post Backup Alarm horn

Does anyone know how to install an aftermarket backup horn to a Clifford Sabre II?

Hey dBrown,

If you're ever in the Detroit area, maybe we can hook up...I work downtown near Comerica Park. I can always meet up in the burbs too

Lemme know. Otherwise I'll give you the wire colors...

Thanks,

Rommel

I never end up to much farther east than this. If you wanted to come all the way over here I can help you out. I'm about an hour west of of the border. Or I can tell you what to do if I have all of the wire color codes.

So you want the wiring codes for the alarm AND the backup siren?

I will try and get them later today...
but in advance...the backup siren has only three wires (I think) positive, negative, and trigger right?

Yeah, there should only be 3 wires. Thats what I wanted to make sure of. As long as there is only 3 here is how you hook it up.

Negative - Ground to the chasis of the car.
Positive - Connect to the battery.
Trigger/input - Connect to the siren output of the alarm.

I tried that once...and as soon as I turned the arm/disarm key on the backup siren...it just went off!

I'm wondering if Clifford alarms are picky about aftermarket stuff...??

Hook up the power and ground then turn the siren on. Then connect the trigger wire.

or

Hook up all 3 wire then turn it on and hit the arm/disarm button on the remotes.

Let me know what happens when yo try these.
