Not trolling, but can you see your battery life stats like in Android? Post them up so we can see.

It's not completely anecdotal when my iPhone 5 is used the exact same as my 4 was, but the battery life is worse than half.
The battery life on my iP5 is leaps and bounds better than it was on my 4.

If your battery life is as bad as you say, you might want to go to the apple store and have them check it out, because that shouldn't be happening.

I can track usage and standby, it seems. I'll take a look at it tonight.

"Oh yeah? Which Android phone did you have?"
"I dunno. Droid 1 or something. Facebook sucked, so now I have iPhone."

When someone comes into the Android thread, all happy saying, "Hey guys, can you recommend me a new Droid?"

I almost want to tell them just to get an iPhone.

Yeah, that's pretty bad. My battery life is the same or better. I just asked my brother and 3 friends on chat all of which have the 5. They all report similar results. If you are having issues like that I would bring it in to the Apple store. I can tell you that they will probably ask how you set it up, with a restore or as a new phone. If you set it up as a restore they will suggest that you reset it and set it up as a new phone and then move your stuff back over (which is a pain in the ass).

Finally, a small bit of good news for iOS6 users.

Apple improving 3D Flyover visuals in iOS 6 Maps

By AppleInsider Staff
This week Apple began quietly enhancing the 3D Flyover feature of its new iOS 6 Maps application, giving users updated images with more accurate recreations.

Left, the old view of the Brooklyn Bridge in iOS 6 Maps. Right, an updated render.

In one example highlighted to AppleInsider by reader Sal, the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City is now accurately rendered in three dimensions. Previously, the bridge shown in a distorted fashion.

The Flyover improvements were not immediately available to all users, as some devices were still shown the older data. For example, one reader said updated images were appearing on their iPhone, but not their iPad.

The behind-the-scenes improvements being made by Apple come after its new mapping application in iOS 6 has received considerable criticism for being inferior to Google Maps, which previously provided mapping data for Apple's iOS devices.

Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook even publicly apologized to customers for the quality of the Maps application in iOS 6 in a statement issued last month. He also vowed that the company was "doing everything we can to make Maps better."

Top, the Brooklyn Bridge was previously distorted in iOS 6 Maps. Bottom, it has been updated.

3D Flyovers are one of the hallmark features of Apple's iOS 6 Maps, combining overhead images with three-dimensional geometry to allow users to view and interact with major cities in new and unique ways. But the 3D mapping data also has considerable flaws that led to distorted views of major landmarks like the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, Hoover Dam and other sites.

As Apple has caught flak for iOS 6 Maps, Google has not sat by idly. The company recently introduced new satellite imagery taken at a 45-degree angle to better compete with Flyover, while Google also made its popular Street View feature available in the Safari Web browser on iPhone and iPad.

Google is also said to be working on a standalone Google Maps application that would be made available for download in the iOS App Store. However, that software is not expected to arrive until later this year at the earliest.

I doubt anyone really cares, but I happened upon a 64gb 5 today so I bought it. I am easily able to replicate the purple light on the camera, but it's only visible on a narrow range of angles... So it's very easy to correct by just adjusting the angle of the shot by a few degrees. It's raining today, but I plan on doing more testing in true sunlight this weekend. I don't foresee it being a big issue at this point, but I've been wrong before. 30 more days to make up my mind.

I'm not overly impressed nor let down so far. I would not be upgrading from a 4S (I currently have a 32gb 4 filled to the gils). Nothing mind blowing, but I do believe it's still one of, if not the, best built phone. The maps have been behaving quite well with accurate turn-by-turn. I believe they are already improving and the link above seems to suggest so.

I hope the Nokia 920 is out within my return policy (if not, I'm sure I can easily sell the iPhone for enough to buy one). I played with the 900 while ringing out and it's... Pretty nice. Despite being too large, the hardware seems quite nice. Not bizarrely high quality like the iPhone 5, but definitely nice enough I'd enjoy owning one. The Windows OS is cool, but I wasn't enjoying the stock apps like calendar. I believe they are up for a refresh with the new OS though, so I'm remaining open minded.

As of right now, I'd still rather have my 4 than a SG3 (despite recognizing they aren't even the same class of phone). I just really don't like them. However, I could easily see jumping from the Apple ship next time around.

edit: And so far AT&T's LTE service is pretty impressive. Quick and a far wider coverage than I was expecting. I was spending some time in the far reaching suburbs today and had to get pretty far into the cornfields to drop to "4G" (3G).

the 920 is supposed to be out on ATT early next month from what i understand so you might have just enough time to switch if you wanted to. it is getting pretty good reviews so far but i need to see how it will do as far as customization and development before i make any decision.

That's one of the reasons I bought today. I thought it gave me just enough time to figure out if I like the iPhone enough to keep it and to get some hands on time with the 920. I don't really care about customization, but strong development is a must.

It would be a hard purchase to make because it's so damn big. As much as I dislike the S3, I'd be more interested in the S3 mini (unless that thread was a joke).
