Don't worry.. for now, nobody uses NFC. When they introduce it for the 5S, it will be groundbreaking.

NFC is in my student ID card/bus pass.

I also used it in NYC taxis, most grocery stores, and as a gym pass.

Yeah, That's what I'm going to do. Im a little disappointed in the updates, but I really dont know what I was expecting.

What kind of backwoods hole do you live in? I live in Appalachia and most local grocery stores have NFC readers.

Also, the fact that the Apple website doesn't have a huge feature about the phone on its splash screen is really indicative of the post-Jobs nature of the company.

yup. both my niece and nephew have one each and it keeps them distracted and quiet most of the time it's a brilliant move by parents.
