Audio over aux cables suck. If you had an actual iPhone cable sound quality would actually be good, as long as your files aren't crap.

Audio over aux cables suck? They are perfectly fine. Sound almost identical to the iPhone cable.

you guys must have much better ears than me. i bet in a double blind test none of you would be able to tell the difference between the same device playing the same song through the same speakers through an AUX cable vs. microUSB/Apple connector. especially in a car, driving down the road.

Maybe in your WRX and crappy encoded mp3s.

Too bad this will be greatly eclipsed once big.LITTLE A15 and Haswell devices hit the market.

I think Apple's solution will be the most power efficient though. They've always pushed for low power consumption over power.

I still have little faith of their devices in regards to being on LTE. This is their first time on it, all other manufacturers have been on it for ~1 year. I think the 5s will house a larger battery next year

They're the first to use the new on-die Qualcomm baseband. I think it will have the best LTE battery life on the market simply because it isn't powering two separate radios. It will either be the best or closely match the Razr MAXX with its laptop battery.

do you have fake clockup by any chance?

i freaking love that tweak. my phone acts like it's on crack since it speeds up all the iphone's effects/animations when opening/switching closing apps.

Eh, while it is not the same as the line out of the iPhone. The MP3 audio from the line out is still distinguishable from FLAC.

Lossless Vs lossy. How does it work? You really do not need golden ears to hear the difference.

This is why people spend $50 for gold plated, triple shielded, titanium, uber monster, audiofile, super cables. They "think" they hear the better quality through the cable. Man I loved selling those guys cables. So much commission on something that sells at 300+ points

Mine showed up early (12:58).

If you have a jailbroken phone, restore it to factory specs FIRST then upgrade.

I cant wait to get home and DL it. iOS6 may keep me from upgrading to the 5 though.

I have no need for the 5, but if I could sell my pristine 4 to cover the $200 upgrade fee im all over it.

I can't wait until the calls start coming in when people brick their phones doing the update through iTunes

I made some decent $$$ on the last big Apple update. Totally stock devices, updating through Apple's software, then BAM... soft bricked.

This is not true. ONE series from HTC has it as well

Quote:
Unique about the Snapdragon S4 processor, particularly the MSM8960, is that the modem baseband and application processor are combined into a single chip, optimized for performance and power efficiency. The modem is also multimode, meaning it can fall back to 3G when LTE isnít available. (Some chipmakers still sell separate 3G and 4G modems Ė and donít even try to integrate them into the application processor. The HTC One X (AT&T) and HTC Evo 4G LTEóthe first handsets with a Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor and LTE
I have the EVO 4g LTE with the 2200 MAH battery I can go a full 16 hours with a full charge and basic use such as phone calls, texts, Email push set to 4 hours. Streaming movies and music and such it can easily get cut into half that.

Finishing my update. Lots of weird noises. I can hear it connecting and disconnecting from my computer. Fingers crossed. I've only had the phone for a week.

You are either on the wrong thread or you are doing an update on a phone that already has the update for the updated phone.

I know right, the HD picture looks fine on my 60" Plasma using composite cables, why spend more.

so ios6 uses tomtom for its maps data, it seems. I wish I had the option to remove the "VIP" thing from the mailbox list.
