Default Your thought on this license plate name?

This really isn't meant to be another license plate thread, but rather your thought on the specific one. I prefer the ones that might make others smile rather than the ones trying to show off such as AHEADA U, DOCS WIFE, FASTR, MY BMW. Or the cliche, such as convertibles with TOPLESS, TOPDOWN, RAGTOP and so on.

So, I'm going to soon be getting a newer Miata with power retractable roof and I was thinking MID LYFE . Yes, I'm in my 50's

Would this make you smile if you saw it?

Miata for a mid like crisis car?

You're going to need a man purse and a small dog to go with it.

50 is late for mid life. I build my FFR Cobra when I was 42. That's now gone and I've got my Elise. I do plan to get a track prepped Miata in the spring for track days. I use an Aruba license plate when I'm on the track.

I saw a new Mercedes SUV with a plate FLTBROK.

Yeah I would chuckle to myself quietly if I saw that plate.

Yes, this is an example of the type I appreciate rather than FANCY 1 or some other attempt to be showy.

A girl who went to my school had one on her Camry that said PRNCESS or something. She is exactly like what you'd expect.

Two things:

1. I expect Bruce Jenner is also in the market for a Miata, so go for it if that's the look you are going for.

2. Personalized license plates are for rich, conceited people with nothing better to do than to let everybody know what there name is, or how they feel, or how gansta they are, or how amazingly humorous they are. It's just showoff B******t to get attention. Wow, I'm so cool everywhere I drive people read my license plate and I'm so funny, can't you tell by how funny my license plate. Hey guys do you think people with give me attention and laugh at my license plate when they see it. Be a real man and get regular license plate. I'm 44 (past mid-life) and I wouldn't dream of getting a personalized license plate because they are so f*****g annoying.

At over 50 years old, you've got to have better ideas than a Miata with a personalized license plate.

Right, wrx43v3r. I'm going to take image advice from someone who has posted things like this?

Right, as if half the people here don't try to have a plate that tries to show off how cool their WRX is, and that this thread has over 3100 posts.

You asked for opinions, and I gave you my honest opinion. If you ask for it, then you have to take it like a man if you claim to be one.

Bottom line: Miatas are for p*****s. I'm an old man of 44 years old, and I've earned the right to say it. I didn't ask for your opinion of me, or my car, or my fruity license plate. And yes, hot chicks like big stuff of all shapes - it's a fact. Now go find your balls and man up.

One more thing I forgot to tell you - I love that my stupid post made you go back through the history of my 70+ posts. Insecure with yourself much?

This was probably your reaction: Oh gosh, maybe I really am a fruit. Oh, I better do some research to find out. Let me read his 70+ posts. Oh wait, here's one of his posts. OK, I'm not a fruit after all. Glad I was able to confirm that.

K no. Miatas are for people who really enjoy driving and want something light and rear wheel drive with good handling. Funny that your bottom line is that Miatas are for pussies and not that you hate personalized license plates.

I'd love one too, but as a track or autocross car.

But I wouldn't be caught dead in one on the street, so I won't buy one until I own a tow rig and trailer.

Mid life crisis car = expensive, exotic, or powerful

A Miata just doesn't fit that bill.

I'm not too close to mid life, but so far I've only owned practical vehicles...nothing fun. So my mid life crisis car just has to be something totally impractical.

My '84 Fiero a big mistake sported the plate A LEMON and sat in the dealers shop facing the showroom for a month before anyone noticed! Two months out of the first year in the shop.
