Bought my 04 wrx with kinda higher miles (92k) when i was 19, 3 years and 8 cars later just picked up a minty fresh low mileage 06 sti. paid twice as much for the sti as the wrx ha.

gonna hold on to this as long as i can and then probably buy a new one, but we'll see what they look like by then.

I would wait till after college to go too big though. you dont want to get yourself buried like I did when i started buying cars in college. Now I'm comfortable and can buy whatever I want

23 now. work full time. no school no debt. barely have a year on credit. parents co-signing. hoping to pay this off in 3 years. but work 1 year and i only owe (#)k after that. so its not that bad and it'll be a nice toy for the years to come.

2013CBS5DR - UMADBRO << who wouldn't grab this license plate right? i'll try but i have other options?

I cleaned out my entire bank account and took a small loan when I was 20 and at school to buy my slightly used 07 wrx. Financially irresponsible it has only served to make me extremely happy at the cost of taking all ky money. I'm 25 now and have sunk more money into the car than I bought it for and still going lol

bought my first 07 wrx when I was 21, for $18,888. making 32k a year and paying rent of $800. put 3k down. car payment was $310, insurance was $330 a month due to 2 tickets on my record. I drove it whenever I could so I was dropping easily 400-500 a month on gas. Not to mention all the stock piling of new parts and cool modding and stuff I had to do.

My car has literally EATEN so much of my money. I am 24 now and still owe 8k.

I definitely regret buying the car. HOWEVER, I drive a freaking SICK car! I love my car. would I have bought it then if I new what I know now. NO. Do I regret it. Heck no! so many fun memories and good times.

If you buy one.
1. you will be broke
2. you will have fun
3. your girlfriend will be jealous
4. you will be broke

Bought my WRX when I was 20, BRZ when I was 24. Buying the WRX was the best decision I ever made. I paid cash for it and didn't have to pay a cent for repairs on it the whole time I was in school. Can't imagine a cheaper car to own.

You're not thinking very hard then.

I bought my 2011 WRX when I was 22, and although I love the car to death, if I could do it again I would buy a used bugeye instead. These cares are expensive to drive, especially for anyone in their early 20's.

I thought the same thing after buying my 2011(also in my early 20's) but then you run the risk of getting an abused Rex that will need lots of TLC...and $$$.

I would have been 20 when I purchased my 03 wrx. Just finished the 2nd year of my automotive apprenticeship. Will have had the car 2 years next month! Still as happy with it as the day I got it.

22, I bought my WRX right after I finished my culinary school and got 1 full time job (pays all my bills) and now I added 1 part time job that pays for my "toys" (WRX),(DEL SOL) and some other outdoor hobbies.

school is paid off and i bought my car in cash at 24.. it's a 2010 wrx... bought it in nov09. still have it.

i think a new STi might be a bit too big of bite for me to chew right now though... think i'll just up my mortgage instead to pay off my house quicker with a lower interest rate.

i wish that i was posting "27, bought a 2013 STi" though... =\ ..gotta think long term, right?

Don't make that mistake. Find a storage to hold it for your first year.should be about $20 a month.
